Savory choices like the BBQ pork pineapple bun give the bakery more range than a standard pastry case, while puffs and croissant egg tarts make it a practical stop when you want a mixed box. First time, I ordered: guava butter pineapple bun $4.35 pandan coconut butter pineapple bun $$4.35 salted egg butter pineapple bun $4.70 bbq pork pineapple bun $2.50 That day, May was extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely a lot faster and more efficient than the SF location. Huge plus they also take card here. Limited parking on site.

I stopped by Pineapple King Bakery and loved it! Their pineapple buns are super soft, so good fresh out of the oven. They have a great variety of pastries, and everything tastes fresh and delicious. Definitely a spot I’d come back to… just expect a little line because it’s that popular!

Pineapple King Bakery - Fremont has one of the best pineapple buns with butter I’ve had in the Bay Area. The bun is very crispy on the outside and pairs perfectly with the butter. Their Hong Kong style coffee is very authentic and instantly brought back memories of the time I lived in Hong Kong. It really captures that classic cha chaan teng flavor. I also highly recommend their Hong Kong milk tea and other pineapple bun variations. The egg tarts, however, were a bit disappointing. They’re on the small side, slightly overpriced, and the bottom crust was too hard and overbaked. Overall, I’d definitely come back for the drinks and pineapple buns, which are the real highlights here.

I love pineapple buns and grew up eating them regularly. Pineapple King is pricier than many other bakeries that serve pineapple buns, but from my experience these are always good to amazing in quality. I recommend the puffs/one bun starting out. My favorites are the buns with salted egg or custard filling. They also have a merch selection with items like hats and shirts. Every time I've visited there was a line for the kiosk, but it goes by quickly. Pickup is also fast since many buns are fresh and ready. Wish the crowd management was better though since everyone stands around the front and blocks pickup. The plaza lot often gets busy but I haven't really had an issue with finding parking.

We crave Pineapple King constantly. I mean how can we not when they’re serving this amount of butter?! We brought a box to our family party and everyone loved them. Our favorite pineapple buns: original butter, guava butter, and bbq pork They also have croissant egg tarts that our family loves. We visited the fremont location but they also have one in SF too. Definitely a must try!
