Nice strong tea from this place. Not water down. I could smell tea aroma coming thru the cup. Very chill and relaxing vibes in the shop. Lots lounge settings throughout the area. There’s also an outdoor deck. With sunlight beaming on you reading a book and enjoying a tea is a wonderful afternoon time. Staff were friendly and nice. Very efficient.

This place is a heaven for tea lovers. I ordered Jade oolong in oat milk. It was not sweet so they were kind enough to give me honey + hot water to add in my tea. My friends ordered Masala Chai, Taro Milk Tea and Mango Milk Tea with Lychee Jelly. I was glad that I found dairy alternative. There are tea leaves placed in tiny containers. You can smell these tea leaves before ordering. It is a good place to sit and spend time with your friends.

I drove nearly an hour on a Saturday afternoon to check out the boba tea at Portal Tea Company. The tea house was out of boba when we got there, so we had to wait around 40 minutes for our drinks while they made more boba. It was fine, however, because we weren’t in a hurry. My drink ended up being okay, but the boba was harder than normal, and I didn’t really like it. I’ve definitely had better from boba chains. It seems to be a bustling place though, so maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I’d give them another chance and order something else next time.

One of my favorite tea shops in portland. Located on the second floor of a historic old building, they have a very large selection of loose teas and such to purchase at reasonable prices as well as offering a quiet air conditioned place to sit and enjoy one of the many tea offerings. Relaxing and enjoyable environment and shop.
