I was recommended Purple Kow by someone else. What is very unique about this boba place is the fat and stubby cups. I can't see the benefit to it, in fact there is a downside-- I can't fit it into the water bottle holder of my bag and it's harder to hold in your hand securely. There's not any less drink in the cup than regular boba cups, but the shape makes it look that way. I ordered a lemon black tea with boba, which came out to 7 dollars. They didn't have any flavors I particularly liked such as strawberry black tea or jasmine milk tea, so I picked the next best thing. It was expensive for a drink, but sadly in relation to the rest of the Bay Area boba scene that's actually average. I got my drink and it was a lemon green tea with boba. I'm guessing they misheard my order, but I didn't want to make the nice ladies behind the counter have to redo my drink, so I accepted the situation. It's probably because the order was wrong, but I didn't like the drink itself much. The boba was fine, a little small, and there was a lot of boba. Sometimes I finish the pearls halfway through the drink, but for this there was still plenty left. The boba might be the only big positive I can say about this, sadly. Overall, I'll try something else next time I'm in Berkeley. 3/5.

This one was opened recently, came here because I saw students hold short fat cute cups from Purple Kow. Turn to your right when you hit Rasputin. They have different toppings than other stores on Telegraph. I ordered Matcha crema with green tea jelly and matcha pudding. I’m a big fan of matcha, the more bitter, the better. The drink I ordered was not matcha latte, they mixed matcha powder with green tea instead of milk. By the color you can tell that this matcha powder was oxidized and not green anymore, that was kinda off. Their creama is whipped cream. The barista took too long to make one drink. Sadly they didn’t give me a short fat cup because I ordered more than 2 toppings and couldn’t fit in one. Paper straws, price range, decorations were decent. Come check it out.

This restaurant is one of my favorite go-to boba restaurants. I usually order online and then pick up in-store. There is a large variety of toppings, and I love the fact they have tiny cups. To be honest, they're kind of cute. I recommend trying basically everything, haha, especially the boba drinks. I haven't tried the snacks yet, but I'm looking forward to it! I think this is reasonably high quality and at an ok price, check it out when you can! Unfortunately, it is located at an inconvenient location for parking. People double park in the middle of the street just to pick up boba, which is infuriating and disrupts traffic. I took off a star for that. Be prepared to walk!

Purple Kow is a cute mini friendly Boba & Snacks Dine - In + Pick Up! I recently had the Purple Kow Iced Milk Tea w/ Boba, and had C14 Fresh Strawberry Green Tea!

I have loved Purple Kow since it was in its old location - now, as long as you can find it, it’s still great! Pineapple Green Tea light ice micro or light sweet - delicious and I love the “chubby cup” though it does not fit in standard cup holders which is fine. The staff tried to help me find it but there are 3 different addresses for it in map programs which was maddening - 2508Channing is the spot - just up the hill from Rasputin and Cream - there is only parking on one side of the street and it’s stacked on Sunday. Walk, bike or bring someone to run in! Not far from People’s Park mayhem at the moment (1/2024)
