I’m sharing my experience in hopes of influencing real change at this pharmacy—and, more importantly, to spare other patients on critical medications from the absolute nightmare I endured with Pyramids Pharmacy. I am on an immunosuppressive medication for systemic lupus. This medication is not optional or flexible—without it, I experience severe flares that can land me in the hospital, which is the last place any immunocompromised patient should be. What began as “small” issues quickly escalated. My nurse submitted paperwork requesting specific supplies be included with my shipments, yet items were repeatedly missing—heparin, Huber needles for my port, and even unexpired Benadryl. By my December 2025 shipment, the problems were no longer minor: no heparin, no saline bag for dilution, and multiple other requested supplies were missing. Despite being notified on December 22, 2025 that my next infusion was scheduled for January 19, 2026 (nearly a full month’s notice), things only worsened. On January 3rd, my husband and I called to update my primary insurance and confirmed that my secondary insurance remained the same. By January 16th, I had heard nothing, so I called and spoke with David. I confirmed both insurances again and stressed the urgency of my upcoming infusion. I was told benefits were still being verified and that I would receive a call back. That call never came. On the day of my scheduled infusion—January 19th—I was still being told benefits were “pending,” which felt off. I contacted both of my insurance companies directly, and that’s when the truth came out: • Pyramids never submitted a claim to my primary insurance • They waited until January 19th—the day of my infusion—to submit to my secondary insurance Because of their error, I was told I owed $2,091 and was pressured to pursue a Medicare payment plan. After speaking directly with Medicare, I was informed this request was fraudulent, as no claim had ever been submitted to my primary insurance. The quoted amount was not a legitimate or accurate copay. Due to this negligence, my infusion was delayed, and I am now in a severe lupus flare—something that was entirely preventable. I have since terminated my relationship with Pyramids Pharmacy and transferred to a new specialty pharmacy that has already gone above and beyond in their care and communication. For patients whose lives and health depend on timely, accurate medication delivery, this level of mismanagement is unacceptable.

Didn’t give me a choice in medication packaging. Normally this medication is individually wrapped, since they compound the medication themselves they don’t do this. Didn’t give me this option. Wouldn’t refund me for cost for a medication I cannot take. Now I have to spend double the money to insure my body’s safety. Don’t waste time or money here.

1st RX they had a wrong phone number for me and they did not reach out to doctor's office to confirm correct number. 1st order I was told to store in fridge. Then on refill was told not necessary. On the same delivery day AFTER I had received my 2nd order I received a call advising they were trying to confirm that I was home as they wanted to make a delivery. I asked what the name of the customer was. They gave me a 1st name and it confirmed that it was not my rx they were trying to deliver. Skeptical to use them for another refill.

The staff is so kind and helpful, never make me seem like a burden like sime pharmacies. Great price and significantly less than others and quick to fill my medication!

They transferred my prescription of Ubrelvy to CVS speciality and they don't even carry it! You have failed in customer service and quality care. It took me almost a year to get approved for that particular medication and NOW I have to start over and pay a lot more money for exams and such to POSSIBLY get approved to get it again. You SUCK! I will forever talk about the poor decisions you have made without even doing research to see if it would even transfer. I pray that everyone of you get as bad or even worse migraines that I have and that is BAD. I hurt daily now.
