Q Bakery is a Columbia City staple, and it’s easy to see why they’ve been around for over 12 years. They offer a huge variety of items, from bánh mì and fresh baked goods to Vietnamese coffee, smoothies, desserts, and more. One thing I really appreciate is that they bake their own bánh mì baguettes, and you can even find their bread sold at other local stores. The prices here are honestly hard to beat. Their bánh mì ranges from about $6.25–$9.50, with most options on the lower end, while many other places start at $10 or more. I’ve tried several of their bánh mì and they’ve all been tasty, with fresh bread, flavorful fillings, and solid portions. Besides the sandwiches, one of my favorite things to get is their pâtê sô. The pastry is crispy and flaky with a savory pork filling inside, and it’s definitely worth adding to your order. There’s almost always a line, so plan accordingly, but they do have a self-serve kiosk that helps. Service has always been friendly whenever I’ve visited. Overall, Q Bakery is a great spot for affordable bánh mì, fresh baked goods, and drinks in Columbia City.

This place is easily one of our favorite Vietnamese bakeries in Seattle. The bánh mì bread here is the best we’ve had in the city—light and airy on the inside, slightly chewy, and perfectly crispy on the outside, just like what you’d find in Vietnam. The fillings are solid and well-balanced, letting the bread really shine. We also tried the pâté choux, a classic Vietnamese pastry, and honestly… it tasted even better than what we’ve had back in Vietnam. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully made. Overall, this is a great spot, and we’ll definitely be coming back for more.

I love Q Bakery. I always stop by on Sundays to pick up bread, and the baguettes and sandwiches are phenomenal. The service is excellent, and it truly feels like a warm, family-run mom-and-pop shop.

So disappointing this time. Used to be my favorite spot. I order banh mi thit nguoi, and it is totally cold. Even the bread and filling. Bread was soft, soggy and tough. Everything was cold. And we wait 20-30min for 3 sandwiches. Smh

Five out of five. The bread alone is worth the drive. They bake the baguettes in house and you can smell it the second you walk in. Light and airy inside, crackly on the outside, exactly the way a banh mi roll is supposed to be. The grilled pork is the one to get, but honestly everything is dialed in, and the pickled vegetables and herbs keep it bright instead of heavy. Do not skip the pate chaud in the case either. Prices are almost unreasonable for what you get. There is usually a line, but it moves fast and there is plenty of parking right out front. Easily one of the best banh mi spots in Seattle. Grab a bag of rolls on your way out.
