Freshness and variety stand out in customer feedback. Reviewers describe the donuts as fluffy and say there is a good selection, with some calling them among the best they have had recently. One popular option is the cronut, praised for its flaky take on a traditional breakfast treat; a reviewer particularly recommends trying one with peanut butter. Donut holes are another simple choice, and one customer appreciated receiving extras. These are individual experiences, but together they give prospective visitors a useful sense of the pastries people return for.

The menu also reaches beyond donuts. Customers mention ham and cheese croissants, an egg and cheese croissant sandwich, sandwiches, and drinks, making Rainbow Donuts Cafe & Deli an option for a more filling breakfast or a quick bite. The iced Vietnamese coffee receives a specific nod from a reviewer who enjoys strong coffee. Customer accounts describe the croissants as satisfying and the sandwiches and drinks as good, although the available information does not list a full menu or confirm particular ingredients. If you are choosing what to try, the cronut, a savory croissant, or the iced Vietnamese coffee are all items customers have singled out.

The atmosphere sounds casual and cheerful, with several reviewers highlighting friendly service and describing the shop as a welcoming neighborhood spot. Experiences are not entirely uniform: one reviewer reports an argument with staff, while other customers emphasize warmth and helpfulness. That mixed feedback is worth keeping in mind, alongside the overall 4.4-star rating from 508 reviews. The convenient Phoenix location, broad range of breakfast treats, and early hours may suit solo coffee stops, families picking up donuts, or visitors looking for a nearby alternative to a chain.

We were fortunate enough to land an Airbnb for the winter just a mile down the road from Rainbow Donuts. Many donuts consumed. Also love the ham and cheese croissants. Always good selection and cheerful service. Convenient location. Our favorite donuts in the Scottsdale area. Don't miss!!!

These were some of the best donuts I've had in a long time. Their cronuts are to die for. A very interesting and flakey take on the traditional breakfast treat! Be sure to try one with peanut butter.

The friendliest. Gave me extra donut holes 🩷 best price for amazing, fluffy donuts. If you like strong coffee, the iced Vietnamese coffee is everything. Also egg and cheese croissant sammie is so yummy. Will always prefer here rather than Dunkin and bosa. …

Food is good, but they like to argue with their customers. Pretty risky when there are two Bosa donuts very near them, where the staff is super friendly.
