Rainbow Shops is a women’s clothing store at 315 Centre St in Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. It offers local shoppers a place to browse clothing, shoes, and other fashion items in person. Customer feedback points to an incredible selection, making the store worth considering when you want to look through a range of options rather than shop for just one specific item. The available information does not identify particular labels, styles, sizes, or signature products, so shoppers seeking a specific item may want to check availability directly before making a trip.
The store may suit casual shopping, whether you are stopping in on your own or browsing with someone else. One customer describes Rainbow Shops as a favorite location for his wife’s casual shopping, while another praised the selection and said staff were very kind. Those experiences suggest that some visits can feel welcoming and enjoyable. At the same time, other reviewers describe disappointing interactions with staff, so service experiences appear to vary. If helpful assistance is important to your visit, consider asking clear questions in store and allow time to find the items that work for you.
Feedback is mixed overall: Rainbow Shops has a customer rating of 3.6 out of 5 based on 62 reviews. Alongside positive comments about selection and kindness, reviewers report concerns about customer service and one customer describes a problem with a pair of shoes after wearing them briefly. These are individual accounts, not a guarantee of what another shopper will experience, but they offer useful context when deciding where to shop. Check items carefully before purchase, and contact the store directly if you have questions about a product or a return. No specific return terms are provided in the available business information.
Rainbow Shops is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Hours can change, so confirming before you travel is a sensible step. Staff was very kind and store had an incredible selection of items!
Very disappointing experience. I bought a pair of white shoes from this store in the afternoon, wore them briefly the same day, and initially they felt fine. However, after walking for a short while, the shoes started making a strange noise. I took them off immediately and returned to the store the next day to request a refund. The staff was polite and tried to help, but kept saying it was the store policy not to accept returns if the soles were dirty. The manager, however, was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. He refused to acknowledge the fact that the shoes had a clear defect, and focused only on the minor dirt on the soles—something completely expected after wearing white shoes once. This is not acceptable. A product with a clear defect should be returnable, and the way the manager handled the situation was frustrating and disappointing. I do not recommend this store. Poor management and no accountability for faulty products.
Rudest store I’ve been too . I called to see if they were open for business because a lot of them are closing and the lady didn’t even say your welcome or anything she just hung up on me. Also when I go in there always extremely rude when you ask a question they get annoyed. one time I was in there and I had asked a question and the lady started talking about me in Spanish and she got a rude awakening because I understood her I am also Latina I said I am not what you called me ( in Spanish ) ... her face looked like she seen a ghost. Seriously the worst store in Boston !!!!!
This is the worst store I ever been to. Their customer service towards black people is horrible. I never have a good experience here. One girl acts like she doesn’t understand English not to help me.
My wife's favorite location for casual shopping. I've spent hours in the parking lot waiting for her
