Really impressed with the options and flavors of RollPlay. From the pho, entree bowls, and especially those crispy popcorn chicken bites, we enjoyed everything. The bowls were filled with fresh, tasty ingredients, and they actually look like they do on the website. Definitely recommend! 👍🏼👍🏼10/10
I used to come to Roll play often when they first opened. I haven't been in years and was crazing some summer rolls. I ordered the 100G bowl and a summer roll.... man was I dissappointed. The braised brisket was flavorless. I poured so much soy and hosin sauce on the bowl and it was still tasteless. Same with summer roll. So so bland. For almost $40, I feel ripped off by such bland food. They used to have grilled steak and I guess I confused that for the braised brisket, big mistake. The summer roll was almost inedible with the thickness of the rice wrap. I started choking but how thick and congealed it was. There was also a random piece of tortilla? in the wrap. Not sure if that's supposed to be there. I hope they find better ways of adding flavor to their brisket and summer wrap. This food is too expensive to be so bland.
(full transparency: i've only ordered via uber eats, not visited in person yet.) …
Roll Play may become our go to pho place. But the other items look good too. My family and I love how customizable it is, being able to choose your broth, protein, carb, toppings. I got the power pho bowl, which is 2 protein choices. I chose chicken and salmon in oxtail broth. Both were ok, but I may keep the salmon to rice bowls or other items in the future. I liked it, but it just didn't seem like it belonged in my soup. The chicken was fine. The broth was good. My mom loved how you can get a smaller side portion. She really liked the quality of the pork belly. I liked the veggie rolls. They actually remind me more of Thai spring rolls rather than Vietnamese cha gio, but whatever, they were good. Prices are excellent. And as of now, this is an InKind restaurant, so you can get discounts/cash back if you use that app. If you don't know what I'm talking about but want to, message me and we can both get a referral bonus! ... Though I don't know if you can message me through reviews. Parking in front of the restaurant is limited. I'd recommend parking in a nearby big lot next to it, and walking one or two minutes. I parked in a spot that was reserved for other stores, but I was in and out in less than a minute, so I didn't get towed. But it's unnerving parking in those spots.
