My local grocery store. Love going there. Yes, it's small and crowded since it's in the Quarter, but they have a really huge number of good brands and variety of food stuff for the size. And the staff is really friendly, esp considering they have to put up with all sorts of craziness.

We like to buy local items to take home as souvenirs, so it was a happy accident to discover this grocery store that had a great selection. We stocked up on refreshments for our tours too, without being price gouged like some of the other souvenir shops. Special thanks to the local who strongly suggested we try treats from Hubigs - YUM! Will be returning to snag more of these delicious desserts. The line ups in the narrow aisles were tight, and confusing at the checkouts, but a smart little place to shop while in the French Quarter.

Great prices and great sales. I live in the marigny and basically have two options as far as grocery shopping goes. Rouses far outmatches Robert’s simply because of their prices. Robert’s prices can be outrageous in a lot of cases so do yourself a favor and check out Rouses.
