Located within the heart of Northern Virginia's famed Eden Center, Saigon Bakery & Deli is a cherished Vietnamese bakery and specialty deli serving the community of Falls Church, VA. Situated at 6773 Wilson Boulevard, this welcoming storefront sits inside a cultural landmark often affectionately known as Little Saigon. For years, locals, commuters, and travelers visiting the Washington metropolitan area have relied on this everyday stop for fresh baked goods, quick midday lunches, and comforting traditional Vietnamese snacks.
At the center of the menu is their authentic Vietnamese bánh mì, crafted on distinctively crusty French baguettes. Unlike soft-crust alternatives, the bread here delivers an unmistakable crunch that holds up perfectly against savory fillings, fresh herbs, and crisp pickled vegetables. A longtime customer favorite is the grilled pork bánh mì—frequently requested simply as the number four—which combines deeply seasoned meat with the classic balance of cilantro, cucumber, and house condiments. To complement your sandwich, the deli pours robust Vietnamese iced coffee that is intensely bold, sweet, and energizing, as well as refreshing fruit smoothies blended with fresh avocado or fragrant jackfruit.
Beyond freshly assembled sandwiches, Saigon Bakery & Deli features an expansive selection of ready-to-eat deli specialties and traditional bites. Glass display cases and shelves hold an array of savory dumplings, rice flour snacks, and home-style classics such as bánh ít trần. Whether you are picking up savory sides to round out a family dinner at home or searching for rich, filling afternoon snacks, the sheer variety of prepared items offers something for both seasoned fans of Vietnamese cuisine and adventurous eaters looking to try new flavors.
What truly distinguishes this neighborhood bakery is its down-to-earth, hospitable environment. Visiting a specialty shop with dozens of unfamiliar Vietnamese delicacies can sometimes feel overwhelming, but the staff here—including sweet, knowledgeable elders behind the counter—are known for taking the time to patiently explain different ingredients, fillings, and flavor profiles to curious guests. It creates an approachable, nostalgic ambiance that honors the generous spirit of traditional Vietnamese food culture without any unnecessary fuss.
Conveniently open seven days a week from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saigon Bakery & Deli in Falls Church is an ideal destination for anyone seeking honest flavors, dependable comfort food, and prompt service. Whether you are stocking up on weekend provisions, enjoying a quick bite between errands, or exploring Eden Center for the very first time, this local staple provides a genuine taste of authentic Vietnamese deli craftsmanship right in Northern Virginia.

Stopped in on a whim to pick up a few extras for dinner and wasn’t disappointed! Everyone inside was so sweet and patiently answered all my questions as my knowledge of Vietnamese foods is limited. I think I’ve gotten the names right, please excuse me if they’re not! I loved the Banh it tran or the sticky rice dumplings filled with a minced pork mixture. The outside is a delightfully fresh and soft mochi-like texture packed with an equally smooth textured filling. The banh bo was a curiosity buy, I thought it was tripe at first but learned it’s actually a steamed white rice dessert. Spongy, bouncy, delicate and fresh. The cake itself is rather bland if you’re not used to rice cakes but adding coconut milk will give you a nice, not-too-sweet treat. 10/10 recommend, it may not look fancy and shiny from the outside, but if you’re looking for more of a grandma’s cooking/homemade vibe the food inside is worth a visit!
My brother from another mother took me to the Eden Center or as he likes to call it Little Saigon to visit his favorite place for Bahn Mi sandwiches, the Saigon Bakery & Deli and it was truly a delight! I was mesmerized by the incredible food selection that was available. A dear, sweet elder women who my brother says is a grandmother to the community, prepared our lunch for us. We each had a Bahn Mi sandwich. My brother went with the pate and cold cuts while I went with a delicious beef and lemon grass sandwich. We each had a tasty, crunchy egg roll all washed down by a oh so tasty and refreshing ice cold Vietnamese coffee! You can pick up lunch and dinner as well or the fixings to prepare your own meal at home!
Banh mi made with crusty French baguette which I prefer over the other shops in Eden's soft bread👍 smoothie jackfruit and avocado were tasty 😋 👌 You do need to check for freshness on package food products.
Best banh mi I've had, and I have had many. I suggest getting grilled pork banh mi, you can ask for a “number 4”. Also try a coffee, they make it iced and its very strong but great flavor.
I love my Vietnamese snacks, oily and filling, no complaints from me, its not like your supposed to eat it everyday. Service is nothing special, but they'll exain what items are to you and there is quite a bit. Overall, a great place for snacks~ Meat Bun Pork: Barely any filling and not very good to me, I will pass on these as its not something that suits my palette. A bit dry and lacks a bit of punch. Shrimp Cake: 2.25 each, this is mainly for flour and some beans in it, (Mung Beans?) it is extremely filling so one will already fill you up. The shrimp is more decoration than edible as its toasted beyond it needs to be, but its part of the recipe, it infuses the cake nicely with shrimp flavor. You can also roll it in lettuce and dip it in vietnamese fish sauce. Pork Pie: I love these, its the most simplest recipe ever! Pastry puff sheet, pork with fish sauce and pepper/salt, thats it... But so good and cheap. 2.25 each! Easy to buy and also easy to make at home too, so you can learn~ Spring Rolls: Ill tell anyone to just make spring rolls at home, its not that complex and you can a ton for less then $15. Shrimp, Lettuce, Bun (Rice Noodles), and Spring Roll sheet, done! Throw Nem Nuong in and fisb sauce dip and your good.
