Saigon Bowls is a Vietnamese restaurant at 11000 Roosevelt Blvd in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA 19116). It offers a place to sit down for Vietnamese dishes and other options mentioned by diners, including pho, banh canh cua, bun mam, bun mang vit, and shrimp pad thai. Customer experiences describe both attentive, welcoming service and occasions when service felt slow, so visitors may find that the experience varies. The restaurant has a 4.4-star rating from 126 reviews, giving local diners a useful starting point as they decide where to eat.

Pho is one of the dishes that comes up repeatedly in customer feedback. Some diners say they enjoyed it, while one reviewer felt the meat was fattier than they preferred. Other reported favorites include banh canh cua and bun mam, with one guest praising the portion size and saying the dishes were satisfying. Bun mang vit and bun bo Hue (BBH) also appear in reviews, though opinions are not uniform: one diner liked the former and found the latter only so-so. These varied comments offer a practical picture of what guests have enjoyed without suggesting that every dish will suit every taste.

Saigon Bowls is also noted for homemade fried chicken, which one returning-minded guest described as very good. A reviewer also enjoyed shrimp pad thai, while another had a less positive impression of a summer roll, describing it as light on filling and finding the peanut sauce disappointing. Taken together, the reviews point to a menu with several different choices, from Vietnamese soups and noodle dishes to fried chicken and pad thai. Portions were described as large by some guests, and opinions on value differ: one review felt the price was high, while another considered it reasonable for the amount served.

The dining room has a distinctive detail noted by a customer: some of the former Mission BBQ decor was retained. Guests have described friendly, attentive servers who checked in during the meal, as well as less welcoming or slower service on another visit. Saigon Bowls may suit people in northeast Philadelphia looking to try a Vietnamese restaurant, share a meal, or compare familiar favorites such as pho with other dishes on the menu. It is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. For current menu details and availability, check with the restaurant before visiting.

It was my first time coming here. Service was a little slow and our server wasnt the most welcoming. But besides that, I had the summer roll with peanut sauce. It was ok. The ingredients in the summer roll was skimp; mostly lettuce inside and the peanut sauce was not that good. However the pho I ordered was delicious. There was also a nice variety of food on the menu and not like some viet restaurants with just pho and broken rice which I really appreciated. The restaurant was nice and comfortable. The parking lot was small and packed today. I would come back when im craving a good bowl of pho.

This is brand new Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The food is decent. I’d say this place is overpriced. I liked their pho, but their meat was too fatty to my taste.

Just tried Saigon Bowl today, the food was excellent. I have heard about their homemade fried chicken, the fried chicken was very good. I also love that they kept some of Mission BBQ decor. The server was also very friendly and would always check up on us. I would definitely come back here more.

Food was excellent, very big portion. bánh canh cua was delicious. Bún mắm was my favorite too. The BBH was so so. I think the price is reasonable for the portion they gave you. My husband barely could finish his bún măng vịt. …

We stopped in to try this new spot during their grand opening and were really impressed. From the moment we sat down, our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. For food, I ordered the shrimp pad thai and it was excellent — perfectly cooked noodles, flavorful sauce, and generous, juicy shrimp. My wife had the wonton char siu, which was comforting and packed with flavor. The broth was rich without being heavy, and the char siu was tender and well-seasoned. We started with the King Wings as an appetizer and they were a standout — crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and seasoned just right. Definitely something we’d order again. As part of their grand opening promotion, they offered a free scoop of ice cream for dessert, which was a really nice touch. I chose pistachio and my wife got the salted caramel pretzel — both were delicious and the perfect sweet finish to the meal. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
