Saigon Chillin is a Vietnamese restaurant in Houston, TX, located at 10839 Bellaire Blvd Ste A in the heart of the city's bustling southwest dining coridor. If you're looking for honest, everyday Vietnamese street food without the fuss, this is the kind of spot worth knowing about. The menu is simple and easy to navigate, which makes it a comfortable choice whether you're a regular or trying Vietnamese food for the first time.
The house specialty here is the banh mi, baked in house for fresh flavor. Customers note the sandwich runs a little smaller than some others, but it's priced to match, so it's an easy, affordable bite. Beyond the banh mi, you'll find a street food section with mini appetizers, plus smoothies and scooped ice cream if you want something cool to finish. It works well as a quick stop when you're short on time or only a little hungry.
The setup is casual and counter-service style: you order and pay at the counter first, then grab your own utensils. Reviewers describe the dining room as clean and neat, with staff who are friendly and helpful at geting you through quickly. One thing to know before you go is that the signage and decor are still in transition under newer management, so the storefront may show more than one name. Once you're inside, though, the focus is squarely on the food.
Saigon Chillin is open seven days a week, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Thursday, until 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, and until 10:00 PM on Sunday. The early opening makes it a handy choice for a morning banh mi run, a fast lunch, or a relaxed late dinner on the weekend. With a 3.9 rating across 167 reviews, it's a dependable, no-frills neighborhood option for anyone craving Vietnamese flavors in Houston. Stop in, order at the counter, and settle in for a simple, satisfying meal.

Sign in to reviewI was only a little hungry when I stopped by on the way home. They weren't too busy, so I got through pretty quick and ordered in. I got a couple of things from the street food part of the menu. The staff was great and helpful. The restaurant was clean and neat. The menu was very simple and easy to read. My only issues were the shrimp in the corn dish. It tasted alright, but they (shrimp) were almost non, existent and it wasn't stir fried 😅 It was all good, but I'll have to go back again to try some of the other items on the menu 👍
I was in a rush and decided to stop in for a quick bite. This location can be a bit confusing as it’s named Hot Pot Ice Cream but it’s also M-Saigon Street Food. This is the type of spot you pay at the counter first and grab your own utensils etc. I was not interested in ice cream but was pleasantly surprised they sold Bò Né and man was it good! The plate came out sizzling and packed with flavor. The only reason I’m giving 4/5 stars is because the employees have been less than friendly on the two occasions I’ve visited. The food and drinks are great but definitely could use some work on the customer service side.
Gem of a place. I hope they stay open. Banh mi is baked in house. Great flavor. Sandwich is smaller than others but priced lower also. I like the mini appetizers.
I thought this place sold smoothies with whipped cream on top, but they don't, so I tried a regular smoothie instead. It was good. On the other hand, I decided to order chocolate ice cream. I asked for a sample, but she got it from a full bucket. When I ordered, though, I got a scoop from an almost empty container. The flavor tasted different, and the chocolate ice cream was bad
We went to try out this place this past Saturday. It is under a new management from the banh mi owner from Thiem Hung banh mi. So their sign haven't been updated, and the same goes with the decoration. Just note that the banh mi sold here is an extra .50 extra ($6.50) compared with the shop at Thiem at $6, but they are the same size. I got the hot plate beef, meatballs, and egg, which also included a free sugarcane juice for a price of $16.50, which is not bad. The food was not bad. However, we were pretty thirsty afterward.
