I have been trying all of the shops in this food hall and have yet to be disappointed. The wings were so good, spicy and sweet. The lo mein and the tso chicken were flavorful and such good portions. Will definitely come back when I just want to eat somewhere with good food and quick service.
I had a very poor experience at Saigon Street Food. The staff member I interacted with did not know what sweet and sour sauce was, which is concerning for a restaurant serving this style of food. The pricing is unjustifiably high for the quality provided. The crab rangoon was especially disappointing—essentially a fried wonton with almost no filling and barely any trace of crab and for the lomain, cold noodles being served. Overall, the food felt inauthentic and poorly executed. I will not be returning and would rather drive out of my way for a restaurant that delivers basic quality and authenticity. Also, it would help if staff was already behind the desk working not in another location of the works having to walk over. (This whole establishment is dissapointing). Low quality and overpriced.
I stopped by The Works in Atlanta while I was recently there for a trip and choose two dishes at Saigon that looked good. The fried rice had a really good flavor and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The beef dish was also amazing and the cilantro added a great flavor to the noodle and beef dish. Will definitely be stopping back at Saigon! A great spot to have a drink and grab some quick food after work.
I got the crispy fried chicken with fried rice. It was amazing. The sauce is sweet and savory and the chicken is super crispy! 10/10 would recommend.
I was excited to try this restaurant inside the food hall. On display was a sign advertising “Combo #3” and “Combo #2.” I ordered the combo that comes with 3 sides for $15.99. As I started choosing sides, I asked for the orange chicken, for which I received a generous scoop. Then I asked for the sweet ribs but was told there would be an additional $5 charge. I agreed, but the server proceeded to give me just 3-4 tiny pieces of ribs. The portion was drastically smaller compared to the scoop he gave for the orange chicken. When I asked him to add more ribs to match the additional charge, he refused. I told him I no longer wanted the food, and he threw it away. This was poor customer service. The signage was misleading, and the portion size for the extra charge was insulting. I met the owner of the food hall that day and considered sharing my experience with him, but my friend encouraged me to start here first. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
