San Francisco City Hall Wedding Photography is a wedding photographer service based in San Francisco, CA, focused on couples who want thoughtful, polished images in one of the city’s most recognizable civic spaces. With a 4.9 rating from 40 reviews, the business is known not only for photography, but also for helping couples feel more prepared and comfortable during an important day. For many people planning a City Hall ceremony, especially those traveling in or navigating a smaller civil wedding, that kind of calm guidance can make the experience feel far less overwhelming.
What stands out most in customer feedback is the photographer’s familiarity with San Francisco City Hall itself. Reviewers describe detailed knowledge of the building’s floors, hallways, staircases, and timing, which helps couples make the most of the setting and move through the session with confidence. That local expertise matters for a wedding photographer in San Francisco, CA, because City Hall is both beautiful and busy, and knowing where to go and when can shape the final gallery. Couples also mention support that goes beyond taking pictures, including help with posing, direction during the ceremony, and a steady presence that feels a bit like having a coordinator alongside the camera.
The style of experience described by clients feels especially well suited for intimate weddings, elopements, courthouse ceremonies, and surprise proposals. People repeatedly mention feeling nervous at first, then relaxing once the session begins. That speaks to an approach that is attentive, personal, and easy to trust. Whether someone is camera-shy, visiting San Francisco for a destination City Hall wedding, or simply wants clear guidance without unnecessary pressure, San Francisco City Hall Wedding Photography appears to offer a process that is structured but still warm. Clients also note the enjoyment of being shown how to pose naturally, which can make formal portraits feel more genuine and less stiff.
Another practical advantage is accessibility. The business lists daily hours from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM throughout the week, giving couples flexibility when planning around ceremony times, travel schedules, or post-ceremony portraits. Located at 100 Pine St Ste. 1250-450, San Francisco, CA, the service is positioned for local couples as well as visitors coming in specifically for a City Hall wedding experience. Reviews also point to a straightforward photo selection and editing process, with one client noting an agreement for edited image delivery after selections were made.
For couples searching for a wedding photographer in San Francisco, CA who understands the rhythm of City Hall and the emotions that come with a wedding day, San Francisco City Hall Wedding Photography offers a focused, local option. The consistent themes in reviews are talent, care, organization, and a strong understanding of the venue. That combination can be especially valuable for couples who want beautiful photos, helpful direction, and an experience that feels personal, calm, and memorable from start to finish.

Sign in to reviewThis was definitely an experience of a lifetime!! Ken was not only our photographer but he was also our wedding coordinator!! My wife and I had NO idea of what all City Hall had to offer. Here comes Kens knowledge of City Hall, every floor, every hallway, every staircase was his canvas, and he utilized almost every space in City Hall and painted another remarkable master piece with his photography. Shev and I had soo much fun. It felt like we knew him for years!! Ken was definitely Accessible, and adjusted quickly to what we wanted and made it all work so well together!! Thank You Mr. Mendoza!! 🙏🏽🔥

And I 100% recommend you to anyone plus your price was truly affordable compared to others offering the same service
Trying to come up with the words to write a review for Ken has been nearly impossible. He is not only talented, but thoughtful and caring. Ken took our surprise engagement photos, and exceeded all expectation (which says a lot from a VERY particular and precise man who was proposing!). We were so fortunate to have Ken photograph our San Francisco City Hall wedding. He is to be described as nothing else other than a professional, and maybe even the best at that. He was able to let us know what our wedding day would look like, assist with the pinning of the boutonniere, and even helped put down my flowers mid-ceremony when the time was right. He felt like more than a photographer on our wedding day, he was a friend. Beyond the personal connection we had, the photographs he captured for us are simply magical. They are so beautiful, well thought out, stunning, and unlike any other wedding photos we have seen. Ken directed us, taught us how to stand, and caught the most beautiful light and angles. We couldn’t give a stronger recommendation for Ken. He made our already very special days so memorable, with the most gorgeous pictures for us to share and cherish forever.
We LOVE Ken!!! He did an amazing job!!! From being our "stand-in wedding coordinator" for the ceremony, teaching us how to pose, making us feel comfortable during the photoshoot, being so knowledgable about City Hall, talking with us like we were family, and creating unforgettable moments... Ken was EVERYTHING! We are in love with our pictures... they capture just how perfect our day was! We HIGHLY recommend Ken!
We hired Ken to photograph our San Francisco City Hall wedding on 11/04/2024. The agreement was simple: we choose 200 photos, and he edits and delivers them within 7–10 business days. Yes, we were delayed in selecting our photos due to buying a home, moving, and dealing with major health issues. We finally sent our choices in April 2025 and apologized for the delay. Ken replied once, saying he was busy but would look at them that weekend. Since then—radio silence. No updates, no communication, and no photos. It is now September, nearly 10 months after our wedding, and we still have nothing to show for the money we paid. Ken has had his notifications silenced this entire time, and every call, email, text, and attempt to reach him has been private and respectful. We’ve tried to keep this between us, but after months of being ignored, we’ve had enough. This is more than a delay—it’s a complete failure of service. A true professional would honor their commitments, or at the very least communicate honestly with their clients. Instead, Ken has shown zero respect for us, our wedding memories, or his own reputation. For someone who once marketed himself as a professional, this behavior is beyond disappointing—it’s embarrassing. All we want are the photos we paid for. Until that happens, we’ll continue to share our experience wherever necessary. – Amber & Ian
