Located at 1635 S San Gabriel Blvd, San Gabriel, this market is especially useful for households looking for Asian staples while also picking up everyday items for a wider range of tastes. Based on customer feedback, many people appreciate that the store feels practical, busy, and rooted in the needs of the surrounding community. With daily hours from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, it offers a dependable option for morning errands, after-work grocery runs, and weekend shopping.

What stands out most about San Gabriel Superstore is its product range. Reviewers describe it as a strong place to shop for Asian groceries, with appeal for Asian, Hispanic, and American customers alike. Shoppers mention being able to find a wide variety of grocery items, including products and snacks that can be hard to track down elsewhere. One customer specifically called out Taiwanese cabbage, while another noted the store’s very Chinese and Asian grocery selection. For people in San Gabriel, California who cook at home often, this kind of selection can make regular shopping more convenient and more interesting.

Another detail that comes up in reviews is value. Several customers say prices here are worth it and often cheaper than at other stores, which helps explain why many return for regular grocery needs. In a city where people compare quality, freshness, and price carefully, a San Gabriel supermarket that balances variety with affordability can become part of a weekly routine. The store’s solid 4-star rating across 1,369 reviews suggests a place that many shoppers know well and continue to use, especially when they want familiar ingredients and dependable selection without making multiple stops.

Beyond groceries, some customers also mention a dim sum to-go option, including siu mai that left a positive impression. That makes San Gabriel Superstore appealing not only for pantry restocking, but also for those who want something quick and ready to enjoy. The overall atmosphere described by reviewers is active and no-frills, with a strong neighborhood-market feel rather than a polished boutique experience. That said, some feedback points to longer checkout waits during peak times and concerns about restroom cleanliness, so visiting during less crowded hours may make for a smoother trip.

For locals and visitors searching for a reliable supermarket in San Gabriel, CA, San Gabriel Superstore offers a concrete mix of selection, value, and convenience. It is a good fit for families, home cooks, and shoppers looking for Asian grocery essentials alongside everyday basics. If your priority is finding variety, reasonable prices, and a market that reflects the diverse shopping habits of the San Gabriel Valley, this store remains a familiar and practical choice in San Gabriel.

I always come here for my grocery needs. Usually cheap compared to other places (except the mochi, that's cheaper elsewhere). So if you notice these guys jack up their prices, you know inflation is bad.

Wow! I haven’t visited San Gabriel in a long time since last year! Good place for Asian, Hispanic & American customers to go shopping! Just awesome! However inside the restroom smells bad. Not clean. I don’t dislike the smell. Highly recommend. The price is worth it. The Taiwanese cabbage has the best price than elsewhere! They sell lotto scratcher ticket machine at the market entrance. I enjoy playing the $5 poker & crossword tickets. The parking lot is huge with so much space. Visit to SG market if you’re able to with your family & friends.

Great Dim Sum to Go Place. I went to Monterey Park Location, it was Closed, I did Yelp Search and this San Gabriel Location Popped up, so I decided to give it a try, Glad I Did, I Ordered Siu Mai, most places come, 3-pcs in an order, you get "4" here, so I ordered 2-orders, and they tasted Great. I also ordered 3 orders, Beef Rice Noodle Rolls.

My friend recommended this place and I was not disappointed. Very Chinese/Asian set and have most grocery you can imagine, even some snaps I can’t find in Asia.

Takes too long, very slow to check out. Not enough checkout lines during peak hours- experience completely ruined by other shoppers. Went to the store this Sunday only needing to buy a few things and was stuck waiting in line for 30 minutes while many people attempted to cut ahead of me because only two counters were open. I had to put my foot down at the urging of everyone else in line behind me and force other people trying to get ahead to stay out of the line and wait their turn. All transactions must be signed for if you're paying with credit, people also pay cash and this slows down the lines significantly. The supermarket is being remodeled which is nice, but the point of sale software needs updating and they need baggers to help expedite the process of getting people through checkout.
