We've been meaning to try Seed bakery for a while, and it did not disappoint! Apparently they have a different concept/menu on weekdays vs. weekends. Everything looked beautiful and tasty. They also have some really cute Boston themed souvenirs. I liked everything we got. The blueberry lemon cream bun was perfection! Crunchy crackled cookie crust, soft bread, light and fluffy blueberry cream, and tangy lemon curd. I was really impressed by this item. I'd definitely get other iterations of this again. I saw that they had a mango passionfruit flavor before -- that must be amazing as well! I also really liked the matcha tighe cake -- moist with crunchy sugar on top, tasty matcha filling.. I'd get this again! I also liked the bacon mushroom scone -- the scone is hefty, crunchy, and the mushrooms add a nice earthy flavor. Overall everything here seems to be executed precisely and deliciously. Definitely worth a visit. I'll be back!
We got the garlic cream cheese pastry and lemon blueberry cream bun. Very good. Lemon blueberry was very filled and had a sweet crunchy crust. Garlic cream cheese also had a very good amount of filling. 10/10
The matcha bun on the weekend was so delicious! The cream on the inside was light and fluffy — just the right amount of sweet. We got the pizza bun — it had a sweeter crust than we expected. We probably wouldn’t get that one again but the garlic cream cheese bread was yummy! This is a tiny spot but they’ve done well to make it feel cute and warm. I was impressed by their layout and the constant stream of customers. Service is fast and warm. Their panna cotta latte was not my favorite. It kinda tasted like really good coffee with cold soft tofu. I think the vibe is lightly sweet, but I felt it was so delicate I couldn’t taste any flavor from the panna cotta. I think I am used to sweeter lattes. The coffee (and milk) quality was fantastic, but I wouldn’t get that latte again. I’d love to come back for a sweet treat — it’s obvious their bread is fresh and delicious.
Seed Bakery is such a gem — the staff and owners are wonderful, and the whole place has a lovely, welcoming feel. …
Ordered the matcha and black sesame crusty buns. I’ve never had a pastry like this. It was definitely a unique experience for my tastebuds. The jelly gives it a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed it! And very fair prices!
