Basic food safety is not followed. Very dangerous!! We did not pay attention to the bottom of the chocolate walnut bread cake and had eaten some. No we are just hoping for not serious food poisoning symptoms.

UPDATE: I went back and spent $24.60 and received great service. The items I picked up were great and the layout and process was clear and organized. I would also say the prices are very reasonable. My checkout experience went well too! Upgrading review as my experience was very nice this time around. OLD REVIEW: I visited this bakery and purchased seven items for $16.85. Unfortunately, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. The cashier began to place one of my items in a bag, then stopped and did not continue bagging until after my Apple Pay payment went through. I found this unusual, especially because I watched the same cashier ring up and bag items for other customers before payment immediately after my transaction. As a Black customer, the difference in treatment stood out to me and made me feel singled out. For that reason, I am giving this bakery one star.

This is a wonderful little bakery! Everything I’ve tried has been fresh and clearly made with care. I highly recommend the cream bun, ham and cheese bun, and their soft rolls, all delicious and satisfying. Their Hong Kong milk tea pairs perfectly with the baked goods and is the best priced one I’ve found in the area. The shop itself is very clean and the pastries are well organized. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the prices are great for the quality you get. You can easily enjoy a full breakfast for around $10, which also happens to be their minimum for using a credit card. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the neighborhood.

Was excited to see they opened a Sheng Kee here! This location seems to be newly opened so the service is still working out some kinks, but the atmosphere and prices can’t be beat! I like to grab the buns and baos for breakfast and lunch (and honestly throw them in my purse as snacks throughout the day). The buns are always fresh and I especially like their egg tarts (蛋撻). Enjoy their selection of coffee and milk tea drinks too.
