Sign in to reviewOne of our weekly go to locations to get pastries after groceries shopping at Ranch 99. We normally get baked Pork Buns, Cream coconut bun, cocktail bun or egg tarts. We have also bought cakes here. Love the tiramisu, mocha cake and their fruit tart cake. Unlike other cakes, their cakes are not sweet and doesn’t have too much whipped cream. Love it.
The mini pork sung baby is the best cake/ dessert Ive had in a while! It's so good.
If you don’t have cash’s and you want to coffee don’t come here because they not won’t going to sale something to you.I drove here and came, after all, they told me that they asked me for 5 dollars to pay by card and I couldn't even get a coffee, this is nonsense
This is the dirty Sheng Kee. Drive 5 more minutes on Skyline to reach the one in Westlake which is actually clean and delicious. This particular location inside 99 Ranch Market is filthy and the options are limited. Half of the store is just empty shelves throughout all hours of the day. First, you have to make it through the dirty hallway before even making it to the “bakery”. The taste, aroma and customer service is completely lacking at this location. It is also very cramped and dim. The food tastes old. I believe it is because all other bakeries smell like something is being baked. This one smells like dust and urine, unfortunately. Look at the floors. The restrooms are also nearby and are putrid. I visited after getting boba nearby. They didn’t accept my cash. The cashier said only credit card. It literally says they accept cash on the counter. Seems like they were trying to use their credit card skimmer on me. Why would anyone recommend credit card for $2.00 pastry? Everything just seemed sketchy and dirty. Good luck with your credit cards.
Good news...typical Chinese pastry (former Eastern Bakery (EB) employee), less sugar than most other bakeries. Good variety. prices $$ average but bakeries are labor and expense intensive. Bad news...not as tasty as EB products and other competitors. Prices are higher slightly. No lotus, melon, black bean, or yellow bean cakes (labor and ingredient intensive). Did not taste the Moon Cake...EB has the highest standard. Offers wedding and sheet cakes at $$-$$$ depending on fillings, decorating, & delivery. Always shop everything and get comparisons.
