Simply Phở is a Vietnamese restaurant in Tampa, Florida, at 13149 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Ste F, Tampa, FL 33618. Its menu offers more than pho, with traditional rice plates, vermicelli bowls, and other familiar Vietnamese dishes for guests looking for a relaxed meal with a choice of flavors and formats. Customer reviews describe a cozy, welcoming dining room and friendly, helpful service, making the restaurant a comfortable option for lunch, dinner, or a casual meal with people you know.

For a classic bowl, guests mention Phở Tái, or beef pho, as a favorite. The menu also appeals to diners who want a meal beyond soup: reviewers recommend the Vietnamese broken rice with grilled pork, cơm tấm, and describe the pork as juicy with lightly charred edges. House Special fried rice and a rice platter with chopped pork are other dishes guests have enjoyed, with one review noting generous portions. These options make Simply Phở a useful choice when a group has different preferences or when someone wants a hearty rice-based meal instead of noodles in broth.

There are lighter and noodle-forward choices, too. A tofu vermicelli bowl with a spring roll stood out to one guest for its lemongrass-and-onion-seasoned tofu, fresh herbs, and crunchy texture. Another reviewer enjoyed bún thịt nướng, grilled pork with rice noodles. Together, these customer favorites suggest a menu with several ways to enjoy Vietnamese flavors, whether you are in the mood for a warm soup, grilled meat and rice, or a bowl with noodles, herbs, and tofu. Guests who need to avoid spicy food can ask staff about adjusting a dish; one reviewer appreciated the team’s help with a non-spicy preference.

Reviews also describe service that is friendly and attentive, with food arriving quickly during one birthday gathering. The warm, cozy atmosphere has been praised as a good fit for spending time with friends and family, including a shared lunch or an informal celebration. Simply Phở has a 4.5-star rating from 859 reviews, giving local diners a helpful snapshot of customer feedback while choosing a Vietnamese restaurant in Tampa. I celebrated my birthday with my friends at Simply Pho, and we had such a great time. The food came out really quickly, which was perfect since we were all hungry and excited to celebrate. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I can’t eat spicy food, and they kindly helped me change my dish without any trouble. That really meant a lot. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Everything looked amazing and tasted even better. All of us had a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

As a Saigonese, I highly recommend theVietnamese broken rice with grilled pork (cơm tấm) from the menu at Simply Phở. I appreciate that the menu includes traditional plates like this, not just soups, which makes it feel more authentic. The grilled pork was juicy with slightly charred edges, the rice was fluffy, and the fried egg with runny yolk made the whole plate extra comforting. The pickled vegetables and cucumber added freshness, and the fish sauce tied everything together with that classic sweet-salty flavor. Portions were generous for the price, and the staff were friendly with fast service in a clean, relaxed space.

I tried the Tofu Vermicelli bowl with a spring roll today and it was surprisingly good! The tofu was seasoned perfectly with lemongrass and onions, giving it a nice savory kick. The spring roll was super crunchy and added a great texture to the fresh herbs and noodles. It’s a light yet filling meal, perfect if you want something healthy but still full of flavor. Definitely a must-try if you're looking for a meat-free option that doesn't compromise on taste!

I love how they decorated the restaurant, it brings the cozy atmosphere, suitable for hanging out, spending good grief time with friends and family. I once had this “Phở Tái” (Beef Phở) and it’s now my favorite, my friend ordered this “Bún Thịt Nướng” (Grilled Pork rice noodle), those two were real tasty. The price is reasonable for such this experience, I would probably comeback to try different Vietnamese cuisines they have.
