For many local families, eye exams are not just about seeing more clearly day to day, but also about keeping track of long-term wellness, and that practical focus comes through in how patients describe their visits.
Patients often mention Dr. Woo as friendly, thorough, and punctual. Several reviews speak positively about clear explanations during the exam, especially when going over prescription changes and eye exam results. One customer appreciated that Dr. Woo suggested easing back on a prescription to help avoid discomfort or dizziness, which reflects a measured, patient-centered approach rather than a rushed one. Longtime patients also note that they value consistency and trust, with some returning for more than a decade and describing eye health as important as monitoring other core health markers.

Review feedback also suggests that some patients have been seen with little wait time, including for appointments made on relatively short notice, which can matter when you need an eye exam without a long delay.
As with many established neighborhood practices, reviews show a mix of experiences. While many patients praise Dr. Woo’s professionalism, patience, and exam quality, some reviewers raise concerns about office organization, staff interactions, and pricing for certain services. Sign in to reviewI have been seeing Dr. Woo for over a decade and I always look forward to the examination because I consider the health of my eyes as important as my blood pressure or cholesterol. His staff is professional and easy to work with. I have never had to wait too long for exams on the fly without a previous appointment. Dr. Woo continues to invest in his practice and recently upgraded his office with the latest state-of-the-art eye examination equipment. His expertise is always present, his bedside manner always comfortable and now with the newest equipment, we get through the exam faster and there is no question in my mind on the accuracy.
I enjoyed my visit with Dr. Woo’s office. No wait time when I arrived on time for my appointment. Dr Woo was very friendly and patient when explaining the prescription and eye exam results. He also correctly suggested to back off a little on my prescription to avoid discomfort or dizziness.
I've seen Dr Woo for years. He is very thorough and punctual, which is always appreciated. Recently, he recommended a LASIK professional for vision correction who was excellent. My children also see Dr Woo and he has great manner with curious kids.
The Dr himself is fine, office was wildly chaotic and some of the staff were pretty rude. Lots of eye rolls and openly complaining. The prices are absurd. Eye exams in other major cities were only $60 with contacts. This was $129 and they hit with a surprise EXTRA THIRTY $ charge for “contact training ” which was literally the woman rolling her eyes impatiently while you try to put on new contacts. Ripoff pricing and nickel and diming. Not a good experience.
Be cautious. I’ve come here before but this time my appointment was for the next day with Dr. Woo’s office. After arriving for my scheduled appointment the lady at the desk, which I called to make the appointment, acts as if she had amnesia and she never talked to me. This is unacceptable, irresponsible and unprofessional from an grown woman. My little cousins are more mature than this individual. Last time I visit an OD at this Costco. Disappointing service by the OD office and Costco for being lax about this.
