Sign in to reviewI’ve been here 3x already. I came in on accident just curious of their pastries. It’s a Spanish bakery with bread and cakes. Then I realized they serve food. One of the best California burritos. It’s large, tight, flavorful filled with meat and fresh avocado and fries. Both times, I ate it so fast that I forgot to take a photo! The third time I came and tried the carne asada. It wasn’t the same. For one, don’t go 15 mins before they close. Two, the chef went home and the lady in the front became the chef. I was disappointed on the amount of meat and how it’s rolled so loose. Still my top place. It’s also affordable for the amount that you get. It comes with a side of fries. This time I tried the concha. It was vanilla flavored sweet bread. Never had one so can’t compare it to anything. Next time I’ll try their cakes. They have whole cakes and slices.
Abby is phenomenal. Every time I visit she has a positive attitude. She’s always cleaning the tables after customers, restocking pastries, and making sure guests have a positive experience. The food is delicious and they have food at every price point.
This little hidden gem in Poway is our family’s go-to spot for breakfast or a tasty pan dulce. Their pan dulce is fantastic and the bolillo takes me right back to the flavors of Mexico City. We especially love their chilaquiles, whether you pick red or green, they’re so flavorful and are just the right amount of spicy. They’re crispy and saucy, exactly how chilaquiles should be. Plus, the staff is super nice!
Nothing like the location in El Cajon boulevard. First of all, I was charged for a ham burrito when I ordered a HASH BROWN burrito. I was charged for a Gatorade when I got a Pellegrino water. My hash brown burrito was dripping in grease, had zero salt, and was extremely messy. I was given verde salsa with a jelly like consistency. Unbelievable! What a waste of $15. I wasn’t even charged for the correct items either. Also, I had mentioned getting my burrito cut in half and it wasn’t even cut. What a bland and soggy mess. Old, nasty, flavorless food. I feel sick and disgusted. Don’t go here.
Delicious authentic panaderia with Mexican food and antojitos. Nice neighborhood spot for quick, yummy food served with a smile!
