Sign in to reviewI’ve longing for Sunmerry to open in San Diego since visiting their Irvine location (maybe 8+ years ago?). Their pastry is great and drinks are even better. We also often order cakes from them on special occasions. Very reliable friendly service and clean store. Sunmerry is a Taiwanese bakery that carries a mixture of Taiwanese and Japanese pastries, desserts, cakes. This is their second location in San Diego. They also have drinks. I’ve been here a few times already. The breads are buttery soft with a bit of sweet and saltiness. My favorite is the raisin roll pack and the brioche sesame donut. I love anything sesame and their sesame milk tea is delicious. They sell the sesame powder packet that goes great as toppings or in drinks. It’s located in between Costco business center and Target with plenty of parking. It’s still 10% off entire purchase during soft opening.
I had no idea they even had food spots put in between the Costco & target ! This bakery is cute. My husband and I picked out a couple of goodies (some hit and maybe 1 was a miss.) it’s cute and clean inside ( when you view the photos pls keep in mind they are in they soft opening phase for this location.) However I felt like they were really stocked pretty well. My husband ordered the Tiger coffee , he wasn’t a fan and he loves his coffee 😕. I ordered the Salted cream Cold brew and absolutely loved it! Would definitely order again!!! This spot gave me 85 bakery vibes, just more kawaii (IYKYK.) they do have two tables inside w/ stools. I imagine once the store is full operation they will hopefully add patio furniture/ tables in the front of the establishment so ppl can chill and enjoy their goodies there. Definitely a place to check out. I liked it & will be coming back. Parking is free and shared with the other businesses in the plaza.
I’ve visited this bakery a few times. I love their selection of Asian pastries. I’m especially a fan of pork floss pastries. I came by to get a BOGO drink which was a very good deal. They have different BOGO special daily through mid July. The staff were friendly. I would come back.
It’s soft opening and they offer 10% off at this time. Mostly sweet pastries and only one savory option on the day we visited (11/25/23). They have taro pudding cake 芋泥布丁蛋糕which no other Asian bakery has it!!
