Supreme Dumplings (Tacoma)

Finally made it out to the new Supreme Dumplings location in Tacoma, and this place is absolutely beautiful. The space is modern, clean, and really well designed, but it still feels warm and inviting. The location itself is gorgeous, and I especially loved sitting at the bar top. It was such a great way to experience the restaurant, and the bar service was excellent from start to finish. The service was attentive, friendly, and made the whole meal feel really enjoyable without ever being overbearing. For the food, we ordered a little bit of everything and honestly loved every dish. The variety dumplings were a perfect way to try several different flavors in one order. Every dumpling was delicious, with great texture, flavorful fillings, and that satisfying balance between the wrapper and the filling that makes a really good dumpling stand out. The Taiwanese cabbage was another standout. Simple in appearance but packed with flavor, and it was a great complement to all the dumplings. The scallion noodles were also excellent. The noodles had a great texture and the scallion flavor came through beautifully without overpowering everything else. We also ordered the fried dumplings, which were fantastic. Crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside, and exactly what you want when you’re craving a good fried dumpling. Having both the steamed variety dumplings and the fried dumplings made for a really fun meal because you get completely different textures and flavors. What really impressed me overall was how everything came together. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, and a really nice bar experience. There’s something about being able to sit at the bar, watch the activity around the restaurant, enjoy a drink, and have great food brought out that makes the experience feel a little more special. It’s also exciting to see a restaurant like this in Tacoma. The new location is a beautiful addition to the area, and Supreme Dumplings has created a space that feels like somewhere you could come for a casual meal, a date night, or just sit at the bar and enjoy some really good food. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Tacoma or nearby. I’ll absolutely be coming back, and next time I’m going to have a hard time deciding whether to order my favorites again or try even more of the menu. Really impressed with the new location and the entire experience.

Reservation is highly encouraged as the place seems to be packed most of the time. Our first impression was not the best. The two hostesses who handled our reservation and seated us were not particularly welcoming. There were no smiles, pleasantries, or much communication. Thankfully, our server was very friendly, attentive, and helped turn the experience around. The food was excellent and truly exceeded our expectations. Everything we ordered was top-notch. Our favorites were the pork XLB, wagyu XLB, dan dan noodles, pork chop fried rice, string beans, and matcha XLB. The dumplings were flavorful and satisfying, and the matcha XLB was especially unique and memorable. Despite the less-than-warm welcome, the quality of the food makes it worth visiting. I’m glad to have a place in the Tacoma area serving solid XLB and Chinese cuisine. I would return.

Celebrated my sister’s birthday dinner here and it exceeded our expectations! The service was great and the food excellent. The dishes came out very quickly, we did not wait long which was surprising for how busy the restaurant was. I highly recommend the lychee beer, spicy xiao long bao, and garlic green beans, but there were no bad options. Will be coming back again!

Food was amazing. Service was spectacular. Atmosphere was a little small, busy, chaotic. Definitely not a place to have a nice quiet date. Had the pan fried pork dumplings, Schezuan XLB, hot and sour soup, wild mushroom fried rice, pork belly, walnut shrimp, chocolate XLB. Everything was amazing, but if i had to choose, mushroom rice was my favorite on the table. Lauren our waitress was amazing, quick, efficient and attentive. She went above and beyond for us.

Last time I visited the Tacoma location, I had such a warm and memorable experience. The restaurant is beautiful and peaceful, and the service made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The soup dumplings were fresh, juicy, and comforting, and the peach tea became one of my favorite drinks there. It was the kind of meal that made me want to slow down and enjoy the moment. I’m already looking forward to coming back.
