Egg tart is very different, no real tart and mostly egg filling. 3 star, average-ish. Old wife cookie (lo po bang/cake) - is pretty good. 4.5 star out of 5. Milk coconut bread (Lai Yao bang) is 3.5/4 star out 5. Solid. A little dry on a Tuesday. Bolobao (pineapple bun) - 5 star. It was a little different, less crusty on top but I like it bc it doesn’t crumble as much. Soft. Solid coconut inside so I like this style. 4 star overall. If the egg tart had a flaky crust OR an actual tart base, I would re-star it as a 5 star.
New bakery in the area and workers are nice. I usually judge an Asian bakery based on their red bean to bread ratio since its my favorite pastry. While the bread is good, don't expect a lot of red bean unless I just got a bad batch with small amount. I will still come back to try out their other pastries.
i will be returning to this place when i visit seattle again! i got the green onion and pork floss bun; it was sweet and savory and delicious for my first bite of the day. the thai tea was so good, and came out quickly after i ordered. i was reading some of the reviews about bad service; i think some people need to keep in mind that the workers might not be comfortable having full conversations with the customers, especially if english is not their first language. the lady working today was incredibly polite and sweet, speaking few words but doing exactly what she needed to. i am perfectly satisfied with the service provided. all in all, i highly recommend this bakery for anyone looking for a quick sweet treat to start your day or keep you going in the afternoon. ☕️

Lovely atmosphere. Bought a few savory and sweet pastries ($2-$4) to share with family. Also bought myself a sandwich and espresso. Sandwich (which only cost $4) was delicious! Espresso ($3) was tasty too though I think the owners should invest in small espresso cups. Purchased items come in a nice bag. Everything here is clean, fashionable and comfortable. Definitely fills in that empty void that was left when 85 left. I’m so happy with this addition to the Chinatown/International District.
