Sign in to reviewEasy going place with nice ambiance and good seating. I grabbed a strawberry matcha latte. I realized the matcha craze but don't think it's for me. I didn't really care for the strawberry jelly as part of this drink. I think I prefer plain matchas, teas, and boba. Less of the sugary stuff. I appreciated the seating. I was able to sit and work comfortably for 2 - 3 hours while enjoying my drink. I wish the nearby outlet was tight and could actually hold on to my laptop adaptor. Still a way a better vibe than a Starbucks. Calm enough to work, study, or have a conversation. Clean venue. My only improvement suggestion is that this place add a few electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the parking lot, ideally in the parking spots right in front. There were easily at least 4 EVs parked near Tea Top when I arrived and left. I know it's not the store's decision and would be the landlord's decision. I encourage ownership to bring this up with the landlord, especially as you renew your lease or decide to expand into more locations. It would help customers like me be able to charge up while I visit. This could increase customers' spend inside Tea Top too as people perceive the extra value they're getting from being able to conveniently charge. It can also drive more traffic to the center. I recommend contacting local Houston company, Pangea Charging, if you decide to add this for your guests.
The drinks are reasonably priced and always delicious! They have a great rewards program and offer discounts. I drive about 40 minutes every week just to come here. I usually buy 3–4 drinks at a time, and they even give me an insulated bag to help keep them cold. If you love bubble tea, I definitely recommend giving this place a try!
Tea top is literally the only tea place we go to get boba tea. I was there when the first boba tea shop Chun Shui Tang opened in Tai Chung City. So you know they pass our "boba tea" test. I honestly don't think there is a better combination of the tea quality / boba taste in Chinatown that comes close to Tea Top. So yes I highly recommend this place. Some of the workers need to be trained better but overall this is far better than any of those fancier places. Some of those I don't even know what I'm drinking. This place, on the other hand, the tea notes are always prominent (at least for the varieties we ordered).
Love Bobba tea! Nowadays there is so many especially in Chinatown; however it is the ones who do the extra mile who are my “SPOT!”. Drink was made just RIGHT! Not too sweet, watered down, just pure perfection. I will be going back as a favorite customer.
The taste of the tea was just fine, not impressive; the pearl and grass jelly tasted good though. I didn’t feel the cashier was friendly. She kind of pushed to place the order and was impatient. The store interior and the restroom looked clean in general. The interior design and arrangement were not favorite.
