Sign in to reviewWe used to have a Teapresso Bar in the Heights that opened in May 2018, and we went consistently from the beginning. It was easily the best boba shop in the area, so I was genuinely sad when that location closed. Teapresso Bar was founded in 2014 in Hawaii by Steve Nguyen, starting in downtown Honolulu and growing across the islands as a healthier alternative in the coffee and milk tea market. The Houston locations opened in 2018, and the brand emphasizes community, sustainability, and quality ingredients. Each drink is served in compostable cups and straws, and they’re known for being gathering spots with board games and WiFi available. We were in East Downtown on a Saturday morning and were excited to see a Teapresso location at 2929 Navigation Blvd. They have a private parking lot shared with neighboring businesses, which makes it easy. Inside, there are a few small tables to the left if you plan to stay and enjoy your drink. [BUBBLE TEA] +Peach Cantaloupe Green Tea with half sweet, light ice, and tapioca for $6.70 - This is my go-to order here and one of the most unique bubble tea flavors I’ve found anywhere. The peach and cantaloupe combination is refreshing and balanced, and it’s consistently good every time. - 5/5 Overall, I’m so happy to have Teapresso back in reach. It remains one of my favorite boba spots in Houston, and the Peach Cantaloupe Green Tea alone keeps me coming back.
This place is in a nice area next to Roostar Vietnamese Grill restaurant. Interior was very simple, spacious, and clean. Had a few seating area with outlets which is great if you're planning to stay there to study/do work. I was looking at the menu intensely and the girl taking the order just stood there staring at me. Made me kinda feel uncomfortable and rushed. There wasn't anyone behind me btw. She was nice though, and made me a peach oolong tea (wasn't on the menu). Unfortunately, it tasted very watered down. I got it 100% sweet and it wasn't very sweet. It tasted good, just very watered down so it barely had much flavor. I also got their brown sugar milk tea with 75% sugar and light boba. It's a must every time I try a new boba spot. The presentation was nice but again, I was disappointed in the drink. The boba was chewy but not in a super soft chewy way. The drink's sweetness was good, I could've gotten 50% to be honest. The tea flavor just wasn't hitting. It also tasted a bit watered down.
I love this place. I'm not going to lie, I come here at least 3 times a week. I like that the green teas taste like tea instead of super sweet juice. The heart jellies are so cute! 😍 My husband enjoys the shakes and the cookies are delicious. This small businesses is always helping our local community. …
First off, the drinks here are so good. You have to try the oreo crumble. Secondly, this location specifically is genuinely one of the best study spots in this area. I'm very particular about my study/work spots and this one marks almost every checklist of my yes-list. Although it has large windows (like most boba places), it's actually tinted properly, so it doesn't let a lot of light/heat in. The bench seating isn't super great for long-term study (3+ hours), but it's still nice. And the chairs aren't those horrid metal ones that scrape against the floor! (The heights area teapresso had that and also had exposed concrete so it was genuinely one of the worst noises ever when you pulled out a chair). They have two 4-persons table and three single-persons table. They're pretty close together, but that's fine with me. They don't have a plug at every single table like other study spots unfortunately , but they have long extension chords and because this place is mostly empty, you don't have to worry about sharing the chord with anyone for the most part. The playlist is top tier too. They put some real somber (not the singer) bangers that fit dark cafe vibes. At one point, I took off my headphones to listen to their playlist instead of my own lol. If it's the workers' playlist, please let them keep the aux. The workers are also super nice and ready to take your order/help you. They even came around the counter to hand me the drink so I didn't have to get up. Super nice. Would definitely recommend
I LOOOVE this place! I’ve been inside but often place orders for pick-up. They have the best coffee in town! It’s strong, aromatic, and flavorful. My usual is the iced vanilla latte and it’s always so good and consistent. I recommend it to all my coffee-loving friends. The service is great too; friendly workers are always present.
