Thái Bảo Vietnamese Restaurant is a neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant at 5115 Federal Blvd #6 in Denver, Colorado. It offers a straightforward place to enjoy Vietnamese food, especially if you are looking for a filling bowl of pho without a formal or polished dining-room atmosphere. Customer reviews often describe the restaurant as a small, family-run, hole-in-the-wall spot where the focus is more on the meal and the welcome than on elaborate decor. Experiences can vary, but diners who value friendly service, generous portions, and approachable prices may find it a comfortable choice for a casual meal in Denver.
Pho is one of the dishes customers mention most. Reviews describe flavorful broth served with noodles and fresh vegetables, and several diners appreciate the hearty portions. One customer called the large number 12 pho especially substantial, while another said the broth was satisfying and suited exactly what they wanted that day. These are useful details if you are choosing a Vietnamese restaurant for a warming, full meal rather than a small plate. The menu also includes vegetarian pho; one reviewer noted that tofu costs extra, so it may be worth checking with the restaurant about current ingredients and options before ordering.
Service is another recurring point in customer feedback. Diners describe staff as friendly and attentive, and some mention that food arrived quickly. The overall setting is modest and informal, not a destination for elaborate decor or a carefully staged dining experience. Some reviews find the dining area disorganized or less inviting, while others appreciate the cozy, family-run character. That range of impressions makes it helpful to set expectations: Thái Bảo is best approached as a casual neighborhood restaurant where the food, value, and personal service are central, rather than as a formal restaurant with a refined atmosphere.
With a 4.5-star rating from 394 reviews, Thái Bảo Vietnamese Restaurant has attracted many diners, while individual opinions naturally differ. This is the cutest little hole in the wall family run restaurant. The food is delicious and fairly priced. The family that runs the place is adorable and always fast …
Good prices, flavorful broth, good portions of fresh veggies/noodles. The only thing I wish is the vegetarian pho came w/tofu. You pay extra for the tofu. Other than that excellent customer service. Will be back again!
Thai Bao is definitely one of those hole-in-the-wall places that focuses more on the food than the décor. The pho was good—flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what I was in the mood for, even if it wasn't the best pho I've ever had. What really stood out was the service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome throughout the meal. The atmosphere is simple and unpretentious, but sometimes that's part of the charm. If you're looking for a casual spot with good pho and great customer service, Thai Bao is worth checking out.
Had a great experience at this restaurant. I ordered a #12 large Pho, and it was massive! The meal was hearty, delicious and overall one of the best Vietnamese dishes I’ve had (and the largest). Food came out quick and it is very affordable. Would definitely come back!
I would not recommend this restaurant. I understand it is a small family-owned business, but the dining area felt disorganized and the overall atmosphere was not very inviting for a meal. The food was okay, but I have had better and more authentic Vietnamese cuisine elsewhere. The owner was friendly and pleasant; however, I would recommend carefully reviewing your bill before paying, as there may be discrepancies. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations.
