Thanh Long Supermarket is a Vietnamese-owned supermarket located at 16112 Harbor Blvd in the heart of Fountain Valley, CA. Serving the local community with a wide selection of Asian groceries, fresh produce, and specialty items, this market has become a trusted destination for families and home cooks looking for quality ingredients at competitive prices. With a solid four-star rating from local shoppers, Thanh Long Supermarket has built a reputation for offering dependable quality and value. Whether you're stocking up for the week or making a quick stop for a few essentials, this market offers a convenient and welcoming shopping experience in one of Orange County's most vibrant Vietnamese-American neighborhoods.

One of the standout features of Thanh Long Supermarket is its full-service meat and seafood counters. The dedicated seafood section displays fresh fish on ice, and the knowledgeable staff can process and even fry your fish on the spot — a convenient service that many larger supermarkets simply don't offer. This is especially appreciated by shoppers preparing traditional Vietnamese dishes like cá kho tộ, canh chua, or bánh xèo, where fresh seafood makes all the difference. The meat counter also draws regular customers with competitive pricing, making it an excellent option for families who cook at home frequently. While the store is modest in size, it is thoughtfully organized and well-stocked with a good variety of products ranging from everyday pantry staples to harder-to-find Asian specialty ingredients.

Fresh produce is another area where Thanh Long Supermarket truly shines. Customers frequently note that the fruits and vegetables here are fresher and often more affordable than those found at competing stores in the area. From fragrant herbs like rau răm and ngò gai to tropical fruits and leafy greens, the produce section is well-maintained and regularly refreshed. For shoppers who appreciate quality ingredients without the premium price tag, this market delivers real value. The store also carries a solid selection of Asian snacks, sauces, noodles, and beverages, making it a practical one-stop shop for a variety of cooking and grocery needs.

Thanh Long Supermarket is open every day of the week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, making it easy to fit a shopping trip into even the busiest schedule. The store is particularly well-suited for those with lighter grocery lists, offering a more relaxed and manageable experience compared to larger, more overwhelming supermarkets. Credit card payments are accepted for purchases over $10, adding convenience for everyday transactions. As a special perk, the store has been known to offer its popular chả cá — a beloved Vietnamese fish cake — as a complimentary gift with qualifying purchases, a thoughtful touch that keeps customers coming back.

Situated in Fountain Valley, a city celebrated for its strong Vietnamese community, Thanh Long Supermarket serves as more than just a place to buy groceries. It is a neighborhood staple where customers can find authentic ingredients, fair prices, and friendly service all under one roof. I went in the super market to but $2 powerball. I put in my $2 but the auto machine didn’t seem to work. Suddenly a lady that work here swooped in and pressed one of the $2 scratcher and walked away with it. She told me it was the money from previous customer when I clearly just put in my $2. I argued with her then she gave me the $2 scratcher which I didn’t want. I kept insisting to get the $2 back then she finally gave me the $2 powerball. This was so confusing like I almost got scam!

Small selection of items, expected for it's size, but they have a good variety of products and a full meat and seafood counters, with the ability to process and fry your fish. Very clean and perfect for a quick stop if you have a light grocery list. I'll be there for the fish.

Normally I love Asian markets but this one was a no go. It had a weird smell throughout the store and it made me not want to buy anything. The only thing I got was a bag of the instant coffee ☕ there was even an Asian lady with her son who also noticed the smell and didn't buy anything either..
