The Salt Massage Room

Amazing massage experience. JC is a total game changer. I’ve gone twice, and my neck tension is completely gone. I can finally move my neck from left to right without bringing my shoulder along because of the stiffness I used to have. My right hip was twisted from tension which made my right leg shorter than my left leg. JC worked on both legs until they were even again. I can genuinely feel the difference when I walk — much lighter, more balanced, and with far less tension overall. I will return for more 90 minute sessions. Highly recommend!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. 4 years ago, my employer gifted me a massage gift certificate as a pregnancy gift. Due to moving, I unfortunately misplaced it and recently found it. The certificate is a paper copy and does not list any expiration date. When I called to ask if it was still valid, the gentleman who answered actually laughed and said, “Oh no, it expires after a year.” I explained that there is no expiration date printed anywhere on the certificate. Only after I mentioned I would be leaving a review did he attempt to backtrack, but by then it was clear what he had already state that it was expired. The way I was treated was unprofessional and dismissive. Regardless of the policy, customers deserve to be spoken to respectfully. If you are purchasing a gift certificate from this business, please make sure the expiration policy is clearly written on it. Sadly, due to this experience, I will not be referring anyone to Massage Room.

Best massage in Tampa. JC gets to the root of the issue, and I walk away with less pain every visit. He has a remarkable understanding of the body. Thankful for finding his practice!

My husband and I had massages and a salt room session today. Our massages were fantastic! JC took a lot of time on my trouble spots. The salt session was great, too. We live in boston but I’d definitely come back next time we are in Tampa!

I found this little place looking for 90 minute massage options in the Tampa area. I called and JC answered and had an opening today, on a Sunday. Big win for me because I've been going to the gym even though I've been feeling stiff and sleep has been hiding from me. There is a salt option during this massage that is supposed to help relaxation and breathing. I had him use that part of the time and then asked for just music to relax. JC was amazing. He worked the knots out of my hamstrings and massaged the tightness out of my neck and shoulder. He really knows his craft and I am glad I found this location. I will be back to see JC Alvarez again.
