For visitors who value a relaxed, unpretentious setting, customer accounts describe the cafe as humble and welcoming, with one guest recalling a comforting bowl of pho shared with a sibling and an owner who was kind and friendly. Other diners report fast, attentive service and say the family cares about customers. A separate review noted that the dining room felt hot and had an unpleasant smell, and another described not being greeted. These differing accounts are useful context; comfort and service may not feel the same on every visit.

Thuy Cafe is worth considering for pho fans, curious first-time visitors, families, and anyone seeking Vietnamese food in St. Petersburg without a formal dining-room atmosphere. Its dishes and drinks offer several ways to make a meal your own, whether you come for filet mignon pho, Mi Quang, tea, or coffee. The restaurant is closed Mondays. The mi quang was fantasic. I love the video they have of food cooking in the background. Made my experience really nice. The pennywort juice was very herby and slightly sweet. It was decent.

Wanted to try a new restaurant and I was disappointed. When we walked in, there was a smell and it was super hot inside the building. We were not greeted at all. I had the spicy beef noodle. It wasn’t spicy at all that my toddler was able to handle it. The vegetables were fresh. The broth wasn’t great that it tasted watery with no flavor. The sandwich was okay but had almost no meat. I had better food at similar restaurants. Too much competition in the area for basic food. I won’t be returning.

There’s nothing else that cures homesickness like a healthy bowl of phở and sharing a table with your sibling. I was visiting and just needed some hot broth enrichment time. The owner is very kind and friendly and it’s a humble spot. Felt like home for a second. I got myself a coffee afterwards but regretted not picking up some Vietnamese desserts on the way out. Till next time!

Ate there for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised on how good the food tasted. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall, but there is ample parking. They have a pretty diversity Vietnamese menu and what I had for lunch very tasty. Service was also fast and attentive. I will definitely go back to try other menu items.
