Extremely disappointed!!!! I scheduled a routine eye exam with insurance and a $10 copay. During my visit, the office performed a retinal screening (S9986) without explaining that it was optional or that it would cost extra. I was later charged $39 out of pocket for this test. Patients should be clearly informed and asked for consent before any non-covered services are performed. Be sure to ask about all additional charges in advance!

I had a fantastic experience working with Charles Hossle. He provided assistance at every level; he listened to my needs and guided me through various frame options to suit all of them. He also offered excellent aesthetic suggestions that I wouldn’t have found on my own. I’m confident that I found the best one-stop shop for all my eye care needs.

They added some exams that we did not discuss to the bill, and later informed me that the fees were collected from there. I feel a bit misled and cheated. There’s a lack of transparency, and I’ve never had that issue with City Eyeworks. I only booked this place because every other place in town ran out of availability towards the end of the year. However, it’s not a place I’ll ever return to. For anyone reading this, please triple-check whether they’re charging you for the exams you actually requested.

There were some extra testing and charges without disclosing in the beginning that they will be extra. For the contact lens fitting, they gave me the cheapest ones possible that don’t fit in any of my eyes to be comfortable or be able to see.. they are supposed to be monthly wear yet.. they give me extra discomfort after a day of wearing.

I am always so impressed with the selection and service at City Optometry. Everyone I've interacted with there has been very friendly and professional. At my last couple of visits, Alejandro very patiently helped me pick out glasses and sunglasses and did an incredible job reading me and my style and figuring out what to purchase. As a very indecisive shopper, it was very helpful and it felt like a very "high end" experience, which I don't expect when picking out glasses. He made me realize that helping someone pick frames is an art form, one he is very talented at! I highly recommend this place if you want full service treatment and a positive experience!
