For people searching for a family medicine clinic near the western side of the city, this practice stands out for its broad, day-to-day care focus and its team-based environment. Reviews point to patients building long relationships here with physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and administrative staff, which suggests a clinic designed around continuity rather than one-time visits. That kind of steady, familiar care can matter when patients want a doctor who knows their history and takes time to follow concerns over time.

What many patients seem to appreciate most about UCSF Family Medicine Center at Lakeshore is the sense of attentiveness they receive during appointments. Several reviewers describe doctors as comprehensive, welcoming, and willing to listen carefully instead of rushing through visits. Others specifically mention kind nurses, professional front-desk support, and a clean facility, all of which help shape the experience of a neighborhood medical clinic in San Francisco. For patients who value a team that works well together, the comments about empathetic MDs, NPs, RNs, and administrative staff offer a concrete picture of what regular care here can feel like. The clinic may be especially well suited for people who want relationship-based primary care and appreciate thoughtful communication during routine visits.

At the same time, public feedback also shows that experiences can vary. Some reviewers report frustration with billing issues, difficulty establishing care as a new patient, and inconsistent interactions at the reception desk. One patient also described a concerning experience after a blood test and felt instructions and follow-up support were not handled as carefully as expected. Including that perspective matters because it gives a more complete view of UCSF Family Medicine Center at Lakeshore as a medical clinic in San Francisco, CA. For prospective patients, those comments suggest it may be helpful to ask clear questions about appointment availability, check-in expectations, and any billing or lab-related follow-up before a visit.

Overall, UCSF Family Medicine Center at Lakeshore appears to be a practical option for individuals and families seeking primary care in San Francisco, CA, especially those who value doctors who listen, a clean office environment, and a coordinated care team. While the clinic’s 3.4 rating reflects both positive and difficult experiences, the recurring praise for attentive physicians and compassionate staff gives useful context for local patients comparing care options. If you are considering a medical clinic near 1569 Sloat Blvd Ste 333, this location may be a good fit for routine checkups, long-term care, and conversations with providers who many patients describe as engaged and thorough.

It's nice. I like my Dr. She is comprehensive. The nurses are nice too. The front desk staff are professional. 12/27/23: I had my appointment. I like my Dr. Clean facility. I had a problem with billing that I still have not resolved. It's draining to deal with that. 4/27/23: Some staff up front are great. 1 is lacking but hopefully learning. 5/19/23: I think my PCP offers comprehensive preventative care.

I went here for a blood test and had a really bad experience. After the test, they rushed me out without offering any juice or sugar, even though I almost fainted. They didn’t explain what I needed to do before or after the test, which felt careless and unsafe. Overall, the staff was unprofessional and made me feel like they were more focused on speed than patient care. I would not recommend this place.

It’s been 5+ years for me to be under care of wonderful team of MDs, NPs, RNs, and the rest of the Lakeshore team including admin team! My observations: They are a great team who work very well together! They are very empathetic, listen to my concerns, and take time to address them! Admin folks very quickly follow up on calls/messages/appointments! Also, for a nervous patient like me they are very patient and make me feel comfortable. Thank you so much, Dr Megudich, Dr Govil, NP Thompson! I’m very grateful to be under your care

Called to try to establish care as a new patient. Very rude receptionist. Was told that even though the website showed several doctors are accepting new patients, there were no appointments available. Asked how long I’d have to wait to schedule an initial visit and told they did not know because there were no appointments available. Asked if they could contact me when an appointment opened up and was told I’d need to keep calling back to check.

I had a wonderful experience at UCSF Lakeshore! The staff and doctors are incredibly attentive and welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I felt that they truly cared about each patient, greeting everyone warmly and making the check-in process seamless. The level of care and attention they provide is outstanding. Plus, there’s plenty of parking, which is such a relief compared to the Parnassus location. Highly recommend this facility for anyone seeking excellent care in a convenient and stress-free environment!
