The hairstyling name was Jenifer. I had a very horrible experience at this place I dyed my hair, and they charged me a lot of money and didn't do the color I asked for please never go to this place for hair dye or haircut and they were very rude when I wasn't happy with my hair color never ever go to this place please. I wanted the first picture. It was black and silver, but she did the scan's picture. She just damaged my hair. I am so upset why I chose Ulta. Why I trust this terrible place?

Still won’t shop here, 2 years going strong. The manager is terrible. There is a Sephora inside of the Kohls on the other side of the parking lot that has gotten all of my business after the manager of this Ulta was so rude to me. Sephora has a much better return policy and better customer service too. (: This location refused to honor my birthday coupon ON MY BIRTHDAY, when I made a huge $350 purchase and they failed to apply the coupon. I came back to correct it after realizing and was told they have a “new policy” that they can’t correct or price change for coupons. Okay, fine, I return all of the items. Went and collected them all again, came to the counter with my items to make a new purchase with my coupon, and they said “hold on a minute” while the girl disappeared to secretly call the manager over. They treated me like I was a criminal and stealing while making a $350 purchase ON MY BIRTHDAY, as a PLATINUM rewards member of over 10 years. No tact, no regard for my birthday, no loyalty to a long time customer who spends thousands per year. Not even a “I know the policy makes no sense and is unfair, but we have to follow it, I hope you understand.” The manager, sassy man with dark hair, was condescending the entire time and literally treated me like a shoplifter. I just left all the items on the counter and walked out with my refund. Went online, added all to cart, and repurchased with my coupon… had all my items 3 days later and $70 cheaper (20% off coupon for my birthday). That’s the last time I’ve spent any money with Ulta, and I literally never will again — taking my thousands of dollars per year to Sephora instead. They lost out on tens of thousands of dollars in purchases, over a 20% birthday coupon. Over $70. Why would I ever shop somewhere that treats loyal customers so poorly? Ulta is the only one with something to lose, I can buy my products anywhere else.

Disappointing experience at the Ulta Beauty in South Shore Center Alameda. I was shopping an Instacart order during a busy time and there were no employees available on the floor to help. When I finally asked an employee named Vincent a quick question about a product after already checking the aisle myself, he responded rudely and dismissively instead of helping professionally. I understand stores get busy, but customers and Instacart shoppers still deserve basic respect and professionalism.

First of all I want to give props to Amily (I hope I spelled their name correctly) but oh my goodness they saved my life. I know that's dramatic but wow, I needed help with picking a foundation shade and Amily was so patient and sweet (swatched like 8 different colors for me). After swatching, they told me to take a walk around the store for a bit to see if I still liked the color after it oxidized (which was amazing advice considering I hadn't bought make up in like... 8 years.. I hope Amily prospers. I'm rating 4/5 stars only because like another review said, the lighting in the store was absolutely awful. It would be wonderful to at least light up the mirrors better if not the ceiling.
