Just amazing food, service, and location. Always something new to try, and it's always amazing. Not only are the buns terrific on their own but this guy is the king of sauces with each one paired to a different bun flavor. I can't get enough of this place and the authenticity of every person I talk to behind the counter. One of my favorite spots in Seattle by far.
おいしい! It’s so awesome to have a spot that marries Japanese ozaku pan flavor with Peruvian, Afro-Carribean, Korean, etc. flavors - each ozaku pan is a reminder of culture and diversity. Each ozaku pan is perfectly crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The sauce that comes with some of the savory ones is very flavorful. I started seeing their items in Ujwajimaya market, so glad they are doing well. Here’s what we’ve tried so far: * Curry chicken * Peruvian chicken * Mofongo: Delicious though I wish there was more filling. * Yuzu: This actually may be a touch too sour for me, but I do prefer that to i being too sweet. * Beignets: Perfect!
I needed to grab a quick meal before leaving for the airport and found this place nearby!I loved the wide range of Afro-Caribbean and Asian flavors. I settled on the Peruvian Chicken and found it flavorful and moist. It also comes with a small container of spicy green sauce which enhances the experience. If I’m in town again, I’d love to come back and try the other breads. Such a unique intersection!
Wow! This place is awesome. Harold, the owner, is super nice and helpful. The food is excellent. The taste and texture of the ozaku pan we're incredible. This was one of our favorite meals while we visited Seattle. If you're looking for a unique meal, definitely stop in here. Reasonable prices and easy parking too!
Fantastic food and exceptional customer service from Mr. Harold and Johnny. I had the pan-seared beef curry and the BBQ chicken—both were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I was very impressed with the overall experience. Highly recommend Umami Kushi—you’ll love it!
