Sign in to reviewI had a great experience at Uncle Zhou in Plano! The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes it a nice spot to enjoy a meal. We tried the mapo tofu and the fried fish fillets, and both dishes were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The service was quick and everything came out fresh. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to try more from the menu. Highly recommend!
Finally checked out Uncle Zhou after seeing the Michelin recommendation everywhere, and yeah… it’s actually worth it. Feels like one of those lowkey spots locals try to gatekeep. The food came out fast, portions were solid, and everything tasted homemade in the best way. Noodles had that perfect chewy texture. Even the smaller side dishes were surprisingly good. Nothing felt overly fancy or forced — just really good food made properly. Service was super chill and welcoming too. You can tell they care more about the food and experience than trying to be trendy. Definitely the type of spot you bring friends to when they visit town. Already planning my next trip back.
First of all the service was incredibly nice, kudos to them. The food was very food too! Some dishes totally 5 stars like the off menu crispy pork belly, ask for it! The hand made noodles are out of this world that for sure. Other dishes like the fried rice are food in the standard category.
Place was pretty good! Loved the cummin fish fillers. The pork belly was a good dish too followed with the tendon noodle soup but the service was great, can't complain really. Maybe a suggestion for the servers, fill up with customers drinks and be proactive about it rather than wait for them to ask. Definitely recommend trying the place though.
I enjoyed trying the hand-pulled noodles served with jasmine tea (my favorite!) Very authentic Chinese food, and the flavors were amazing. The service was wonderful from the staff and would definitely recommend this restaurant. The pricing was very reasonable and the ambience was lovely - the lanterns added a nice touch!
