Sign in to reviewThis is literally a food paradise. Large variety of options and delicious food dishes. Some people were singing guitars and the atmosphere was super pleasant. Chess players are also having a lot of fun in the areas playing blitz games and creating strategic mind clouds 🤓 I strongly recommend this place for a wonderful evening.
Apparently people's standards and expectations are low. I say this because this establishment was busy, yet the service and food were subpar and everyone seemed fine- except us... who still maintain a certain level of standards and expectations. I ordered online from the table, after creating an account, and was very specific with my order, which included (from the section where they specifically ask if you want utensils and how many of each item) the amount of forks, spoons, knives, straws and napkins we would need- I was thorough in answering, but sadly the person assigned to bring out our order, did not take the time to read. With this said, the plates I ordered were NOTHING like the picture the advertize, and the amount of meat was miserable to say the least- my son and husband ordered the same plate, and my son ended up eating most of his dad's meat, which was supposed to come out medium rare, but was between medium and medium well on some parts, and very poorly presented. The salads came out on small squared dishes with no protective border, therefore making it near impossible for a child to keep on their plate- fortunately the entree plate came so bare that there was plenty of room to transfer the salad to that plate. My husband's potatoes were good, and my son liked his Mac and cheese, which honestly seemed more like the entree and the meat was the small side... so sad. Like I said, miserable. To add insult to injury, I had also requested with my order an iced water, which like most everything aside from the food, did not come out, and when I did mention it, the "server" for lack of a better term, answered, "oh, you got it for free, then," which I had a hard time interpreting her meaning, and came back with a cardboard cup of warm temperature water... wait for it...with no ice. So, I had to get up and go to the counter to get my plastic cup of ice from another employee and pour in the previous water into that cup. Was it a big deal for me to do that, no. However, everything adds up, and details are important. To pay $80 for subpar service and SERVING SIZE and leaving hungry for the protein my boys expected to receive from the misleading pictures on their website, amongst all the other small annoyances, was frustrating and disappointing to say the least. For those with big wallets and small expectations this place should be fine, but for those who expect to receive something comparable to what they see in a photo and pay a hefty price for- I definitely suggest sitting and ordering from a full service restaurant. There many of them where you can expect to pay less and eat more. We won't be returning.
A fantastic experience at Urban Place! I ordered a double-patty burger with avocado—it was very juicy and delicious. Carlos, who served us, was very friendly and attentive, which made our visit even better. Thanks for the cookies—they were truly delicious! I highly recommend this place!
The food is always consistent. Alex is an amazing kind person who accommodates people with knowledge and dignity. Love the large table in the center made for large groups.
My fiancé and I split the beef and mushroom braze. The food was delicious and Camilo, our server was very nice and eager to get us refills. We even had a busser come by and give us a refill of our drink. We’re trying to test all the flavors.
