Utopia Restaurant & Lounge

Utopia Restaurant & Lounge is a Vietnamese restaurant at 1125 NE 82nd Ave in Portland, Oregon (97220). It brings together Vietnamese meals, a relaxed, no-frills dining room, and a lounge setting, making it an option for a casual meal or a bite during a late night out. Customer feedback highlights flavorful food, generous portions, and friendly service. The restaurant is listed as open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., giving diners a wide window to stop in, including after many other kitchens have closed. Its 4.1-star rating across 364 reviews offers a helpful snapshot of local customer experiences.

The menu goes beyond what some visitors expect from a typical pho-focused Vietnamese restaurant. Reviews describe a broad mix of well-prepared dishes, with the pepper-salted shrimp singled out by one diner as a Portland favorite. Chicken wings also earn enthusiastic mentions, while potstickers and egg rolls are among the appetizers customers have enjoyed. Beef with vegetables is another reported order, though the exact combination can vary. One review mentions ordering a numbered dish, including #11, but does not identify its name; if you have a particular dish in mind, checking with the restaurant is the best way to confirm what it is.

Utopia can suit diners who like to share several dishes rather than each ordering a separate entrée. One group of three said two main dishes and an egg roll appetizer were enough to share, and other reviewers describe portions as large. Guests also praise the food arriving piping hot and the service as quick and welcoming. The atmosphere is described as clean and simple rather than highly formal, with a lounge and slots noted by a customer. That combination may appeal to people looking for an easygoing place to eat, while those seeking a quiet, traditional dining room may want to keep the lounge setting in mind.
