Villani's Bakery is a neighborhood bakery at 901 Pecan Ave in Charlotte, NC, offering a broad selection of pastries, desserts, and coffee. Customer reviews describe an inviting shop with a lot to browse, from individual sweets to cakes, and several visitors have enjoyed choosing a mix of items to try. With a 4.5-star rating from 1,509 reviews, Villani's has drawn many local customers looking for a pastry stop, a dessert to take home, or coffee alongside something sweet. The variety is a defining part of the experience: rather than focusing on just one treat, the bakery gives visitors different options to explore.
Reviews mention croissants, lobster tails, chocolate chip cookies, red velvet cake, and other pastries and desserts. One customer singled out the red velvet cake as a favorite, while another appreciated the range of tempting choices and bought several different items to sample. These are personal experiences, and preferences can vary; a pistachio-cream croissant, for example, was described as richer and heavier than one visitor expected. If you have a particular texture or flavor in mind, asking the staff for guidance may help you choose. The menu variety makes Villani's a natural option for people who like to compare a few sweets or pick up a dessert for later.
The atmosphere comes across as friendly and casual. A first-time guest described the shop as cute and noted kind service, while other reviews also praise the staff. Seating is limited: customers report that there is no indoor seating and that a few outdoor tables are available beside the parking area. Many visitors take their purchases to go, so the bakery may suit a quick coffee-and-pastry stop, a treat on the way home, or a takeaway dessert better than a long sit-down visit. Reviews are mixed on consistency, with some customers reporting disappointing items, so it is fair to keep individual experiences in mind when deciding what to order.
Villani's Bakery is open Tuesday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and closed on Mondays, according to the provided business hours. Its evening schedule gives Charlotte customers an option beyond an early-morning pastry run, while the takeout-friendly setup works for a solo visit or picking up treats to share. Find the bakery at 901 Pecan Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205. Whether you are exploring the pastry case for the first time, looking for a cake, or pairing coffee with a sweet, Villani's offers a wide assortment in a relaxed neighborhood setting. For the best visit, check the current selection in person and ask about the day's available pastries.

I like the bakery. The service is good. I thought I was gonna love my croissant, but the pistachio cream was more the consistency of frosting, and I didn’t really enjoy how heavy it was, so it may have just been a matter of not ordering correctly, but I asked what the most popular items were and the croissants were one of them. I will come back and try again to see if maybe I like a different item more.
What a cute coffee and pastry shop. First time here today and wow all the desserts looked amazing. They do not have any seating inside. Outside there are some table with chairs. Most people were taking their items to go. Everyone was extremely kind and we got 5 pastry’s and 2 coffee’s and it was only $33, which is extremely cheap these days. It’s pretty far from where we live, but if we are in the area we will definitely stop in to get some goodies.
Lot‘s of variety, we tried multiple sweets. Some were good, some not so much. The end of the lobster tail was brick hard and the chocolate chip cookie tasted a bit stale and older. Only seating available is outside next to the parking lot, it‘s definitely more a grab and take home place. Very friendly staff.
I don’t understand a business that doesn’t throw away old and expired food. Today marks the 3rd time I’ve eaten spoiled food at Villanis, and I am giving up supporting this place. …
So many options of high quality pastries and desserts! The red velvet cake is the best I've ever had. I was so impressed. I bought about 8 different items just so I can try more than one and will be back to buy about 20 more because there were so many different things that made my mouth water. Paul has done an amazing job making it from scratch and the flavor and presentation are proof that he is a master at his craft. The staff were friendly and very helpful, also patient with me as I had difficulty choosing only a few things for the day.
