Vinh Xuong Bakery is a neighborhood bakery at 375 S Federal Blvd #112 in Denver, Colorado, serving customers looking for Vietnamese sandwiches, bread, and desserts. Its compact shop is described by visitors as small but full of options, with a friendly counter welcome. For people exploring Vietnamese food in Denver or looking for a casual place to pick up a sandwich or sweet treat, Vinh Xuong offers several familiar choices in one stop. The business has a 4.4-star rating from 119 reviews, reflecting many customer experiences as well as differing opinions about particular items and visits.

Bánh mì is a major reason customers visit. Reviewers mention the combination bánh mì, grilled pork bánh mì, and fresh bread. Some praise the combination sandwich for its balance of ingredients and say the bread stands out; another reviewer enjoyed the bread but found the grilled pork’s flavor less to their taste. Feedback about portions and toppings also varies, so individual experiences may differ. The reviews offer useful context for anyone choosing a sandwich: the combination and grilled pork are among the options customers have tried, while the bread is a recurring point of appreciation.

Desserts add another reason to stop in. Customers specifically recommend chè, including purple yam chè, three-color bean chè, and taro with tapioca. Sesame treats are mentioned as well. One visitor describes the chè as delicious and affordable, making the dessert cups a good choice for someone who wants to try a Vietnamese sweet alongside a bakery purchase. The variety of products packed into the small shop gives visitors a chance to browse, whether they arrive with a particular dessert in mind or want to see what is available that day.

Customer feedback is not uniform, and that is worth keeping in mind when planning a visit. Many reviews describe friendly service and satisfying food, while others report disappointment with a sandwich or its amount of filling. One reviewer also reported finding maggots in a dessert and described it as a serious food-safety concern. That is an individual customer report, not an independently verified finding, but it is relevant context alongside the positive comments. The published rating summarizes a range of opinions rather than guaranteeing a particular experience.

Vinh Xuong Bakery is open Monday and Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; it is closed Tuesday. On Saturday and Sunday, hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. These details can help with planning a daytime stop for bánh mì, bread, or chè in Denver. Located on South Federal Boulevard, the bakery may suit local residents and visitors seeking Vietnamese bakery items and a quick, informal visit. Check current hours before heading over, as business schedules can change.

I’ve tried all the banh mi places in the Denver area and this is by far the best. I got the banh mi đặc biệt (combination) and compared to other banh mi I’be had in Denver, this is the only place that gets the ratio of all the ingredients right. I was helped by two women who were friendly and accommodating despite my very out of practice Vietnamese (sorry Mẹ!). I paid with credit card, there is a tap option on the card reader and an option to tip. I was informed that card purchases must be over $5, otherwise cash is acceptable. It’s located in the corner of the Far East Center parking lot. There was plenty of parking available despite me going the weekend before Vietnamese New Year, although the parking spots are on the tighter side. Parking is free. The counter, fridge, and tables with goodies are immediately in front of you when you walk in, so there’s no seating inside. There is a clear divider between the customer and the employees.

Good sandwich, I tried the grilled pork banh mi. It was good, but not the best in the area and the price is $4.50. The bread was great, but the porks’ actual flavor was not my favorite. I did like the shop itself they really pack a ton of products into a small space, it has a great feel, I’ll give them another shot

Not sure why people say this place has the best banh mi’s. Mine had very little meat or toppings. The flavor was ok. I won’t be back.

This is the cutest bakery. The place is really small but there are many options and the smile of the lady in the counter is unmatched for! I come here for the Che dessert that is delicious and very affordable. I like the purple yam Che, 3-color bean Che as well as the taro and tapioca Che. The sesame balls are also great and there are so many desserts that I didn’t get to try. They close at 6:00pm, so you may want to plan your visit. The bakery is in the east far corner area, so if you are stopping by, you may want to check the nearby grocery store, a restaurant or two, and some of the other interesting stores in the area.

I have been going here for more than 25 years, since I was a child. This last Sunday was the last time. I went with my children to get some bread and desserts. Later in the evening as we dug into our dessert cups we discovered maggots in our food. This was my last time buying anything from this business.
