If i would have just gotten the sandwich and the pork bun this place would have a higher rating. We got a combination banh mi, pork bun, casava cake, and a cashew pastry. The sandwich was delicious, the bun was incredible, the casava was interesting (kinda like sweet sticky rice but with a different texture) and the pastry was basically disgusting. The service was very disjointed, my order was taken then handed off to someone else and then had to pay a last person (they only have one register. Lastly they tried to over charge me, so watch what they are actually charging you for.
4.5 rounded up. This is one of the best banh mi sando in Denver according to a local. The bread was fresh. There was good amount of meat and pickled veggies. I tried the meatballs as that is not a regular offering (even in Vietnam- or I didn’t notice in the menus when I was there). The meatballs were light & tend, not dense and heavy, with a slightly sweet savory sauce. The fried sesame balls were good and are filled with yellow bean (not red bean). The fried dough was fresh but could have used a minute in the air fryer to crisp up.
This place is GREAT. The Bahn mi I had was the bbq pork, and it was delicious. So fresh, and for the price...HUGE! Very good value for the money. I also had a couple pork egg rolls, crispy and delicious. Last thing I had was a sesame ball...I was a bit sketch with that at first, cause I've had pretty horrible ones else were...but dang this was so good...I don't know what was in the center but the entire thing was sooo good! I will absolutley return! I spent about 19$ but had 2 meals!
Fantastic food, amazing price! Where else can you get a full size sandwich for less than $10, let alone a banh mi! We’ve been twice now in as many weeks. First time we got the weekend specials - spicy duck and pork belly. WOW! Ate them so …
One of my favorite places in Denver and definitely my favorite for Bahn Mi and Shrimp/Pork rolls
