Virginia Auto Service is an auto repair shop at 386 E Virginia Ave in Phoenix, AZ, serving drivers who need help maintaining or repairing their vehicles. Its central Phoenix location makes it a local option for people commuting around the city, managing a household’s vehicles, or looking for a shop to return to for ongoing service. The business is open Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Virginia Auto Service has a 4.7-star rating across 688 customer reviews, offering prospective customers a broad range of feedback to consider as they choose a repair shop.
Customer experiences describe work on a variety of issues, including wheel alignment, air conditioning repairs, check-engine concerns, and engine-related repairs. One driver brought in a 2020 Chevrolet Colorado after it began driving unusually following desert driving and praised the alignment service and fair price. Other reviews mention customers bringing multiple household vehicles to the team over time. These examples offer a useful picture of the kinds of needs people have brought to Virginia Auto Service, but the right inspection and repair plan will depend on each vehicle’s condition and symptoms.
Reviews also highlight the people and communication involved in the service experience. Customers describe the team as professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and mention staff members Michelle, Robert, and Keenan by name. One customer appreciated updates during an air conditioning repair that took additional days, as well as transportation assistance and a loaner car. Such arrangements are described in an individual review and may depend on availability and circumstances, so it is sensible to ask the shop directly about current options when scheduling. For drivers, clear explanations and communication can be important parts of deciding where to bring a vehicle.
Virginia Auto Service may suit Phoenix drivers looking for weekday auto repair and a shop with customer feedback covering both routine concerns and more involved repairs. The reviews are not all identical: one customer reported that overheating developed after earlier repairs and described returning to the shop. As with any repair decision, it is helpful to explain symptoms, ask what a diagnosis includes, and review the proposed work and estimate before authorizing service. Located at 386 E Virginia Ave, Virginia Auto Service is open weekdays until 5:30 p.m.; customers can contact the business to confirm hours, discuss a vehicle concern, and ask about scheduling.

I've taken my 2020 Colorado to Virginia Auto Service twice now and have had nothing but great results at a fair price. They're thorough, knowledgable, fast, and great to work with. The first visit was an alignment when my truck started driving strange after some fun driving in the desert, and the second time was an oil change and transmission fluid flush maintenance. The alignment fixed my steering issues on the first time, and the transmission hasn't shifted better since I bought the truck 4 years ago! This is my go-to shop for anything my truck needs.
I recently took my car to Virginia Auto Service because my check engine light was on. They told me the O2 sensor and head gasket needed to be replaced, which I proceeded and I paid about $2,700 to have the repairs done. Not long after I got my car back, it started overheating. I took it back, and they told me they tested and drove it but couldn't get it to overheat to see what was causing it. So they said they couldn't find anything wrong. When I picked up my car, I noticed my back window had been left rolled down. When I tried to roll it back up, it wouldn't work. I went back into the shop and spoke with Keenan. He came out, looked at it, and confirmed it was broken. When I asked if they would fix it since it wasn't broken before I brought my car in, he told me I would have to pay for it. He also said it would cost around $400 to repair it. When I said why would I pay for something that they broke? he then sighed, grunted, and was very unprofessional during the conversation and said I’ll grab the manager for you. Keenan then got the manager, Robert. Instead of trying to help, Robert compared the situation to me coming into his shop, turning on the lights, and the lights breaking, asking if that meant I should have to pay his electric bill. I didn't think that comparison made any sense. My window worked before I brought my car in, and it was broken when I got it back. I simply expected the shop to take responsibility for something that happened while my car was in their care. I understand that accidents can happen, but how a business handles them matters. After spending $2,700 on repairs, I was disappointed that I left with a broken window and was expected to pay another $400 to fix something that wasn't broken when I dropped my car off. The lack of accountability and poor customer service were very disappointing. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Virginia Auto Service based on my experience. I would honestly give this place 0 stars. Very disappointing

I had a great experience getting my ac repaired by Virginia auto. They provided many conveniences like ubering me to work and a loaner car when my car needed additional days to repair. Michelle was super friendly and very communicative throughout the process. I would definitely use this shop again for future repairs!
