Sign in to reviewThis Vons is usually well stocked and pretty clean. The men's restroom was in pretty bad condition when I visited on a Saturday recently. I looked at the cleaning schedule posted on the wall and it had been over 5 hours since it was serviced. The weekday schedule showed that it was serviced frequently during the week. The deli and meat areas were both maintained really well. A couple products we were looking for in dairy were not in stock. There was no regard for the customers who were checking out. There was only two lines open and they were both backed way into the aisles. The self-checkout area had all their checkouts open but there were several people who were stuck and they were waiting for help from the time that I got in line to the time I was walking out the door.
Vons was amazing and busy at the right time of day… perfect shady spot to exercise my freedom of speech!
I wish they would do something about the scammers who hang out in the parking lot, and in front of the doors, harassing customers. Just this evening there were two men standing on either side of the only open door trying to sell candy to people as they entered & exited the store. They weren’t part of a charity or anything, just reselling candy. They would approach people from both sides, essentially cornering them as they entered and exited the store. There was a security guard inside who didn’t do or say anything to them. When I told them no they made rude remarks as I walked away. Did not feel safe at all.
So Vons has this policy I guess it is that their bread is supposed to be Hot from 4-7 everyday and if it's not it's free now ever since first bite of this "bread" I'm like hooked like it was made of sugar ok it's so DELICIOUS!! And it's usually always hot however I have been a few times before 7:00 and it wasn't hot AND YES THEY KEEP THEIR WORD IT IS FREE if it's not hot. I go because it's hot and delicious not because I know it's free if it's not. Anyway I also had the privilege of meeting their butcher in the meat department who's name is TONY he's like the best butcher ever he made my shopping experience well worth the higher prices that I'm sure Vons is well known for but QUALITY over Quantity is definitely what this store is about and honestly I feel every store should be about making the customer happy I mean if they didn't have us shopping then they wouldn't make any money right ? So VONS I say to you and your amazing staff THANK YOU SO MUCH you are what customers want in a grocery store because you do those lil extra requests that not all stores will go the extra mile for so AGAIN THANK YOU for your amazing customer service. And to all you Karen's out there saying wow she's thanking them for doing a job they should be doing already yes yes I am because CUSTOMER SERVICE has just gone down hill if you ask me rude employees and yeah I'm sure they deal with rude customers too so thanking someone for doing a job they are paid to do is still appreciated !!! So THANK YOU TONY IN THE BUTCHER DEPT !!! I shop at the SANTEE Vons on mission gorge rd !! Plus their store is very clean and well stocked !!!
Neat, clean, well organized and staffed. In my opinion, a bit overpriced. They do have a good selection, plus a nice alcohol section as well... Good parking lot...
