About
Walgreens is listed on FindALoco in Kent, WA with address, phone, website, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Drug Store.
Serving residents across South King County, Walgreens is an established drug store conveniently located at 27112 132nd Ave SE in Kent, WA. Positioned at a busy commercial intersection, this branch serves as a neighborhood hub for daily personal care items, household sundries, and essential health supplies. For nearby families, commuters, and long-time residents navigating errands along the East Hill area, the store offers a familiar setting to pick up quick daily necessities on the way home.
The core of this location revolves around its pharmacy department, which handles routine prescription medications, over-the-counter remedies, and seasonal health necessities. In addition to dispensing medicine, the staff assists patients with prescription transfers and standard insurance claims. Because this branch absorbs a heavy volume of local prescription traffic following shifts in nearby retail pharmacies, lines and wait times can sometimes be substantial. Local patrons often recommend planning refills well in advance, utilizing online notification tools, and calling ahead when managing critical health orders to ensure everything is prepared before arriving.
Beyond medicine, the store provides useful everyday convenience services centered around its dedicated photo and parcel desk. Visitors frequently stop by for passport size pictures, document printing, and secure package pickups through major delivery carriers. While this counter is designed to offer quick, on-demand solutions for travelers and busy shoppers, staffing demands across the retail floor can occasionally create pauses in service. Allowing extra time during your visit makes running these administrative errands much more manageable.
The retail aisles carry an extensive selection of pantry staples, snacks, chilled beverages, first aid kits, beauty supplies, and seasonal goods. Whether you need a quick tube of toothpaste, basic baby supplies, vitamins, or holiday greeting cards, the retail section provides straightforward shelf browsing. The store layout is practical and accessible, making it suitable for a swift run when you simply need basic sundries without walking through a giant supermarket.
For residents of Kent, WA, this Walgreens remains a functional neighborhood stop for both health-related needs and everyday home essentials. While patience is sometimes necessary during peak customer hours, especially at the prescription and photo counters, having a dedicated drug store on 132nd Ave SE provides valuable community access to vital remedies, personal care supplies, and everyday convenience items.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place used to be bomb before CVS closed down Rite aid across the street during a hostile takeover. Now this place is always so overwhelmed, entire system failures down for days, always having issues putting through insurance they've had no problems doing for 10 years prior. Waiting for someone to get a flu shot or Covid test through drive through and waiting a half hour for them without a second window ever opening due to staffing shortage. Getting weird generic brands that don't work without asking you first, It takes days or weeks to get scripts ordered or they just never get them and never follow up or send you to another pharmacy after you waited 2 weeks. This place always makes the simple act of picking up your scripts into total chaos. I wouldn't risk your mental health trying to deal with this place that's horribly mismanaged by upper management...even though the staff is really nice.
Attempted to call the pharmacy. Was on hold for an hour. Someone eventually answered and put me on hold immediately. After 5 minutes the same employee answered and immediately put me on hold again. After an additional 5 minutes an automated voice came on the line and told me to call back later. Great experience.
Went to this Walgreens to pick up a package at the photo counter. I had no problem waiting while the guy at the front finished helping customers. After waiting for a while, I walked down an aisle and just politely asked an employee if I could pick a package. She immediately responded, “You don’t have to come searching for us. There’s a button you can press at the counter.” I apologized and said I hadn’t seen a button? She then walked over to the photo counter, obviously annoyed, pointed at the button, and said, “There’s the button. Next time, press it.” Which was incredibly rude and unprofessional, especially since her name badge says Charkeeta, an “Emerging Store Manager.”
All the negative comments about the Pharmacy are true. They could not do a worse job if they tried. Better plan on spending a few hours to get to the front of the line and then come back later when they finally process and find your prescription.
