The store is always clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with fresh produce, quality meats, and a great selection of everyday essentials. I especially appreciate the variety of international items and organic options available. The staff is friendly, helpful, and quick at checkout, making every visit smooth and stress-free. Prices are fair, and weekly deals are a bonus. Shopping here is always a pleasant experience—I highly recommend it!
Great look with many varieties of food mainly Arabic foods. Fresh veggies, fruits and especially if you are a one who is looking for Asian tea like Ceylon tea and different Arabic coffee ,this is the place to go. Also Persian ice cream. They also have a food court and they have Arabic ,Indian,and Chinese food stalls inside. They also have bakery others and cakes for different occasions. I personally like this place because of its convenience of finding different food that belongs to different cultures under one roof. Also if you are looking for a place to get lunch this is also a good place because they have many options. Only thing I didn't like was the smell of raw meat at the meat department.
This store has become much better than it used to be. The assortment has grown a lot, and now there is a very large variety of products. The store is clean and well organized, which makes shopping there pleasant. The only downside is the smell in the meat department. Unfortunately, it doesn’t smell very good, and I have noticed that this smell is there almost every time I visit the store. Another thing I really like is that they sometimes have a very delicious sweet cottage cheese with raisins called “Love Kiss.” It’s really tasty, and I wish this product was available in the store more often. Overall, the store has definitely improved a lot compared to before. ⭐
I bought Mishima Reserve Wagyu here that was labeled “HALAL.” To be safe, I contacted the company directly — and they confirmed their beef is NOT halal-certified. That means Wholesome Choice sold a product as halal when it wasn’t. For anyone who relies on halal for religious reasons, this is a serious violation of trust. I’ve shopped here many times, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Wholesome Choice needs to fix their labeling and stop misleading customers.
Wholesome Choice in Irvine is hands down one of the best grocery stores in Orange County. The selection is incredible, especially if you’re looking for international foods, fresh produce, quality meats, spices, and unique ingredients you can’t find at regular supermarkets. The store is always clean, well stocked, and organized. Their bakery and hot food section are amazing too. Everything tastes fresh and authentic. The staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance finding something. If you’re in Irvine or anywhere in OC and enjoy Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Persian, or international cuisine, this place is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommend.
