YADANAR HALAL MARKET LLC is an Asian grocery store on SE Division Street in Portland, Oregon, serving shoppers looking for international ingredients and products that can be difficult to find at a conventional American market. Located at 12350 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97236, the store offers a diverse mix of South Asian and Nepali grocery items, with customer reviews also mentioning food products from Nepal, Afghanistan, and Iran. For home cooks interested in exploring new cuisines, or anyone searching for familiar pantry staples from these regions, it can be a useful neighborhood stop.

Customers have highlighted the store’s selection of distinctive foods and ingredients, along with fresh local produce and moderately priced products. Reviews also mention goat meat delivered on Thursdays and note that Wednesdays can be a good day to shop for meat and other local products. Availability may vary, so shoppers looking for a particular cut, ingredient, or specialty item may want to check with the store before making a special trip. The international assortment makes YADANAR HALAL MARKET LLC a practical option for expanding a home pantry or finding ingredients for South Asian and Nepali cooking.

The shopping experience described by customers is mixed. Some reviewers praise the welcoming environment and friendly customer service, while others report concerns about freshness, cleanliness, crowding, or how they were treated during a visit. The business has a 4.4-star rating from 142 reviews, offering one snapshot of customer feedback rather than a guarantee of any individual experience. Shoppers can inspect packaged goods and produce, and raise questions with staff if they need help identifying an item or checking its condition.

Although “Halal” appears in the business name, a customer review raises a question about whether particular products meet halal requirements. The available information does not confirm the status of every item, so customers with specific dietary or religious requirements should ask the store directly about individual products before purchasing. YADANAR HALAL MARKET LLC is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Whether you are shopping for Nepali or South Asian ingredients, looking for goat meat on a reported delivery day, or browsing international groceries near SE Division Street, this Portland market offers a local place to explore—while checking product details that matter to you.

08Jan2019 UPDATE- new food items from Nepal, Afghanistan, Iran....taste, fresh, unique. Check out updated images ...And, the same GREAT customer service!! Check out new items and goat meet delivered on Thursdays! Nice customer service and a diverse mix of S. Asian and Nepali food items! The management and service team at this Asian market always warmly greets customers with a kind word and a happy smile. Yadanar Halal Market services the SE Portland community offering a wide range of reasonable priced, fresh, and good quality south Asian food products. It is worth the trip if you live in the greater Portland metroplex! There is adequate parking in the front or along the side, inside the market is clean and displays are well organized. For a small - moderate sized food market, you will find an interesting diversity of south, middle, east Asian foods, treats, spices, etc. The goat and lamb meat is always fresh, good quality and consistently available. The meat counter and cutting area is kept clean. They will happily cut their reasonably priced goat and lamb to the size perfect for Nepali, Indian, or other south Asian meat dishes. Yadanar Halal Market offers Tibetan noodles, Nepali achar, Indian chutney, loose and packet coffees and teas from various locations. Many, many quality food items sold at this market are from Nepal! It is always an adventure! If I could pay with Rupees, it would feel as if I was back in Biratnagar, Nepal.

Welcoming environment for things you can't find on regular American markets. I like it. Moderately priced, fresh local produce. Wednesdays are best for meat and other local products

I love expanding my culinary horizons with international grocery stores. Unfortunately, when I walked in for the first time, the guy there blocked my entrance and glared into my eyes like he wanted to stare me down. He would not break from his hostile behavior and I couldn’t enter. I had to turn around and was not able to shop there. 5 minutes later it occurred to me that I was wearing a t-shirt that said om mani padme hum. I don’t know if that’s why he was so hostile, but I’ll never go there again.
