Helen is an absolutely amazing hair stylist - I cannot thank her enough for how she transformed my hair. When I first moved to NYC my hair needed a major overhaul and Helen was able to do just that. I am not great with hair, so I completely trusted Helen and her opinion on what needed to be done. I would go in for my cut & color, she would do her thing, and every single time it came out flawless. Every time I would see Helen I was even more pleased then the time before. Not only is she an amazing hair stylist she is also a genuine and kind person who only wants the best for her clients and their hair. I cannot speak highly enough about Helen and recommend her to anyone I know. NYC will miss you dearly Helen!! ❤️

** Please note this review is for Helen only, not Yo Yo!** I cannot say enough about Helen! I originally got my hair done with her in NYC and was so bummed out when she moved to SF. Yo Yo has a gem on its hands as Helen works hair magic! She not only saved my damaged hair, but she color corrected my hair and did a beautiful job on blending all the colors together. She took the time to understand what I wanted and thoroughly explained how she was going to improve my hair's condition. You can't find anyone else more REAL & HONEST than Helen. I can go on and on about how satisfied I am with my hair, but I'll let the pictures do the talking! :)

I came here to get a haircut and highlights. I have been getting my hair done by a friend the past 2 and a half years before I came here. I wanted to go to a place that is close to my house I am so happy I found Joanne, she listened to what I wanted and did what I told her what I said I liked. I got 4 inches cut and got long layers as well highlights on top. I was done within 2 and a half hours. I will definitely come back!

Helen is a true master of her art. Not only I had fun watching her in action, the results were also amazing. She was able to correct different shades of blonde and send me out with a healthier shiny hair, great haircut, and the whole new level of self-esteem. I also really appreciated her being up front with how much it was going to cost me. Helen's prices are slightly higher than I usually pay for salon highlights and haircut, but the results are 100% worth it.

Helen is great! So glad I found someone in SF that is an expert with blonde balayage on asians. I had gotten a balayage from 2 other stylists, the last in Solano. I loved the color but the roots weren’t done and there was no color melt from roots down. Helen suggested I come back in Dec vs Oct when I recently got my hair done, otherwise I’d fry my hair. She is honest, asks the right questions, and very detailed. So happy with the results- now my roots have the balayage, she toned all over and provided a complimentary treatment bc my hair was so dry and processed from before. She is also easy to talk to or sit comfortably in silence. I personally don’t like chatting for 4 straight hours. Thank you Helen!!
