Yunomi Matcha is a fantastic spot in Portland for high quality matcha. The matcha was excellent — vibrant, smooth, and clearly made with care. Great atmosphere as well, with a calm and welcoming vibe. Definitely worth visiting if you appreciate properly prepared matcha.
Love this place! The matcha is phenomenal, I recommend the seasonal matcha with jasmine and coconut water or pandan float if they have it. It’s a bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. They do only use oat milk, but I think the nutty flavor works with the matcha. it’s also a very nice cafe to hang in for a while with wifi and little tables and a bathroom for costumers.
Beautiful matcha color and great taste. Really enjoyed my jasmine cream matcha latte! I wish there were larger portions as I am a 16oz+ drink girly. With that said, $7.50/drink (12oz?) is a bit steep but I find it to be worth the splurge for the quality of matcha. Service was so kind. Everyone said hello and cashier thanked me by name. One even brought drinks out to the table. Hello?!? So sweet. When it gets busier the wait can be a bit long but very understandable because there’s just 2 people behind the counter. Appreciated the emerald green chairs and vibe. Very cohesive. PLEASE please please bring back the cherry blossom flavor!! 🌸 9/10
I wouldn’t call myself a matcha snob, but there are places like Yunomi that make me think, “Wow, I’ve had some pretty mid matcha latte’s I guess!” The flavors in the matcha with banana jam blew my mind! It was sweet, but not overpowering. …
I’ve been to yunomi matcha a few times, and this last time has left me a bit dissappointed. For $7+ dollars a latte, I expect the matcha quality to be good; strong matcha taste (especially because I ordered a double matcha), and a bright green color. The double matcha I was served has a very mellow and dull matcha flavor, and the color is a dull yellowish green which is usually indicative of older or lower quality matcha powder.
