This review is mainly regarding my experience with Francesca Maffei, NP. I was disappointed with how this visit was handled and billed. I initially reached out through Sutter’s messaging system with my inquiry, but I was instructed to schedule an appointment. Since I was unable to message or contact Francesca directly, scheduling a visit appeared to be the only way to get my question answered. The actual appointment lasted about 5 minutes. However, I later received a $257 bill because a CPT code was used that generally reflects a longer and more involved evaluation and management visit, and it was not covered by my insurance. The clinical notes were also completed within minutes of the appointment start time, which further reflects how short the visit was. In my opinion, the billing code did not accurately reflect the duration or complexity of the appointment. I had hoped this could be reviewed, but it was also extremely difficult to get a response from her regarding this issue. She only bothered to respond after I threatened to report the matter to the CDPH but even then she refused to even consider changing the code to something more reasonable. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

Visited Sutter Health office here for regular physical and tests, but was overcharged due to incorrect billing codes and was given tests that insurance did not cover. Seemed to be a new office and staff. Poor quality of care and many billing issues for a simple visit. Ended up stuck with large bill for routine preventative care. Strongly recommend avoiding.

Receptionist is sooo rude and dismissive. Signs say walk-ins welcomed but when i tried to go in to ask about a test my doctor wanted me to get, she was so patronizing and not helpful. If you want to be smirked at and treated like an idiot when you are having a health scare - this is the place to go!

Ridiculous! Confirmed my appt when I arrived they could not find my doctor’s order when it was the second in a series of two shots . The PA kept me waiting until he waiting room and didn’t tell me this upon arrival when she was going on her break. Incredible disappointed in this office. I then had to call my doctor and take her up her valuable time

I agree with Sandy. Overcharged incorrect billing codes just for physical check up. NP Rupali R. Chaudhuri indicated the code for anxiety. The insurance didn’t cover and we ended up paying for it. It appears that the clinic just wanted to make money. Not going back there again
