⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – Highly Recommend! I recently received a silk press from Jimmie, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I’ve been natural for over 10 years after wearing a perm for more than 20 years, so I am very particular about who I trust with my hair. My silk press came out beautiful—smooth, silky, and full of movement without compromising the integrity of my natural curls. Her expertise and attention to detail truly show in her work. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend Jimmie to anyone looking for a stylist who is skilled, trustworthy, and passionate about healthy hair care. 10 out of 10! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

UPDATED REVIEW. **** The owner claims to value reviews and services, yet she’s defending the stylist instead of addressing the issues… even though she wasn’t present during my appointment. My hair was popping off during the process, dry, and rough. My hair was healthy and did not need a protein treatment. What caused the damage and dryness was the stylist’s excessive heat and rough technique. I’m not usually picky..but this was unacceptable. I couldn’t even run my fingers through it. The owner blamed “ponytail demarcation” in her response below, but those lines came from me putting my hair up *after* leaving because it was stiff and unmanageable.. there was nothing else I COULD do. That doesn’t excuse the poor quality of the silk press. The pictures actually make it look much better. NO ONE reached out to fix it. I *STILL* do not recommend this salon. **** IF YOU VALUE YOUR HAIRS HEALTH AVOID THIS SALON. I paid $180 for a silk press and left completely disappointed. From the start, the stylist combed my hair so roughly that I could hear my strands popping and breaking. The same thing happened during straightening, which made me immediately concerned about damage. A silk press is supposed to leave hair smooth, silky, and polished, but mine looked frizzy and old within hours, as if it had been done days ago. For context, I normally get my hair done every two weeks by a stylist I’ve trusted for over two years, and she’s helped me grow my hair long and healthy. I only tried this salon because my previous stylist recently moved, and I was hoping to find someone I could go to consistently rather than chair hopping. Unfortunately, this experience left me with damaged hair, an overpriced style, and zero trust in the service. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values the health of their hair.

Jimmy did an amazing, professional job. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She walked me through everything! how to care for my hair, how often to wash it! and even treated my scalp. She chopped all my dead ends, added beautiful highlights, and finished with a style that I absolutely love.

I had such a great experience with Alex! The attention to detail, professionalism and care she put into her work truly shows. My hair feels healthy and looks amazing! From the moment I walked in she made me feel comfortable and I left feeling confident! If you are looking for someone who is talented, patient and genuinely passionate I highly recommend her!

I've been coming here for about 2 years at this point & from day 1 I was treated like family. Always a positive vibe & good energy in this place. The owner Jimmie, is an amazing, soulful, fun, good spirited, health conscious Business Woman who is always willing to help. She also provides a wide variety of health products (Sea Moss, Nutra Burst, Teas, etc...), & services. There are multiple stylists here, all of whom are always very nice, extremely friendly, professional, & skilled at what they do. I highly recommend Hair by Jimmie's. In the words of Jimmie, "Great hair doesn't happen by chance, it happens by appointment." So book TODAY! I'm here pretty much every week so say Hi 😎
