Highlands Medical and Wellness Primary Care

The most lazy and incompetent staff I have ever encountered. I went here expecting to get diagnosed and prescribed only to later find out that they didn’t even contact the pharmacy for the medicine. When I tried to contact the staff, they dipped faster than a father going to get milk. I feel violated and now I might just go cry. And whoever put five stars for this place must be paid actors because ain’t no way BOY!

I want to first say that Dr. Casey was very nice when I went to my first visit. However, the remainder of the experience is why I rated them a 1. I am fully insured with a very reputable company through Blue Cross and Blue Shield. I have a $1,000 deductible. I went into what I thought was going to be a wellness visit (which is paid for by my company). The nurse said that because I was also having her look at me for my illness, they would have to charge me. She said I had not made my deductible yet so I would have to pay the full $120. Was not happy, but I went with it. Dr. Casey said we would set up our Wellness visit for the follow up and she wanted me to get a chest x-ray, my mammogram and my blood work and we would go over the next visit as my Wellness visit. The nurse gave me a sheet to call and set up my appointments. What she failed to do was give me what I needed to get my blood work done and did not explain anything to me. I had to call and do all the leg work myself. I was able to get the chest x-ray and the mammogram part done. Unfortunately, I had to call back to get more details on how to get my blood work done. I was told to call Walgreens and set up and appointment with them. That was not possible because they said I had to have a doctor's request for it. I set up my follow up visit to look over my chest x-ray and mammogram. The front staff then told me I needed to pay for today's visit plus an additional $89 for the first visit. Said the insurance would only pay $85 of the previous visit. Using my math, that means they would be charging me $294 for a 30-minute visit with the doctor. I don't think so. If you can afford that kind of doctors' fees, Dr. Casey is great. The staff, however, not worth it.

Highlands Medical and Wellness is amazing . Dr. Casey has the best bedside and caring manner . I've had a great experience there in the 2 years of being a patient. Dr Casey, Carmen , and staff are very accommodating , professional , friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this practice !!

I had been looking for a great family care doctor near my office and I am so relieved I found Highlands Medical and Wellness Primary Care of Carrollton. They are a wonderful doctors office to visit and the staff here is so welcoming and kind every single time. If you need a primary care clinic look no further. 10 out of 10 stars and they even do B-12 injections.

The staff and Dr. Casey are very caring, professional and friendly. They keep a close check of appointments and make sure your needs are met. This is one of the best doctor and staff I've had.
